Like.... How far did she have to fall... WHAT IF somebody else saw them? Like, whats the worst that could happen?

After two failed and deleted attempts to explain the situation, I'll just leave it at this:

It sucks trying to be patient and reasonable with someone who isn't. Last night I chose the couch. Usually this leads to a morning reconciliation. This morning the result was a half-assed attempt leading to more B.S.

Winning the lottery sounds like a real good option right now.

In all seriousness, that works VERY well when everything is going great.

Not so much when I'm taking part in this thread.

I've been a lurker on this post for awhile, can relate to much of what is on here. Let me share some nuggets of wisdom for those not yet married, or even those married that seem to be in a similar situation.

Women change. Or, more specifically, adapt to get what they want at the time and then regress to who they really are eventually. My wife is a good example. I don't even know that they do it knowingly, because it is second nature to them. Before we married, my wife was a different person, gracious,understanding, BJ's in the morning or whenever, not vindictive or insecure, confident, etc. Now, 9 years in, she is the exact opposite of all of these, or so it seems. I think hormones, mental anxiety and just being a woman accounts for much of this. Also, women are MUCH more defined by what happens to them instead of what they accomplish. I think by nature, women are certainly not as stable as men on the whole.

So, if you are not married yet, I don't really know what to tell you other than this. You NEED to find out if your girl has this other side, a side they might not even know they have. The only way to find this out is to not get married a year or two after you have met, and all has been smooth sailing, with nothing to test things. I would actually say 3 to 4 years would be a good measuring stick, and make sure there are at least 1 or 2 solid break-ups in there to see her reactions and test things. This will bring out her worst side, and if it isn't bad, you will know at least with pretty good confidence she isn't totally crazy. Even then you can't always tell what is lurking underneath for sure. Like I said, it's almost like their chemistry changes over time due to life experiences, tragedys, births, etc.

Let me give you a simple example of how I can't even reach my wife anymore over the most simple thing in the world. She will call me at all times of the day, annoying enough, but many of the times are when I can't answer or can't respond, at work, in front of friends, etc. She knows this, though still starts ranting and gets mad when I don't reply, or when I say I have to go into a meeting now, she says OK, then goes on for another 5 minutes and I have to just say bye. This is logic a 5 year old can follow, yet it happens over and over and it's always my fault. This goes beyond rational thinking, which is what really bothers me, no one would act like that on purpose, however women do. Beware.
