Been taking shots for some time now, not quite to the full dose, but even with that my allergies are just about nill for the first time ever at this point of the year .

I'm terrible around cats. It's like they want you dead. Not only do they only pay attention to the allergic people but their fur is designed to fall off and cling to clothing following their victims home. It's like kitty shrapnel. But damn it if I can't stop petting the cute effers.

I woke up at 2am because I was so stuffed up I couldn't breathe. Took some Benadryl, got some water, and put allergy eye drops in, but it still took me an hour to fall back asleep. I'm doing ok now since I'm at work, but my house/yard is suffocating. I love being outside but my allergies don't.

allergy shots. allergy meds. PLUS Claritin D, still had to go to the inhaler TWICE over the weekend. But Ive been working out in the pasture/trees/lawn all weekend also.

Can only take that about 1-2 days at a time. That stuff clears me out from the wrong end.

Not sure if they are allergies, but sore throat and runny nose. Never really had allergies before... can you develop them in your thirties?

46 now and they are kicking my ass. (But I am surrounded by the things I am allergic to)

What works for me best on days like this is doubling up on Claritin. The recommended dosage is 10mg (which causes zero drowsiness) but the FDA's "effective dose" of loratadine is actually 20mg. I only do it on days when I'm really being bugged by allergies or a runny nose.
"It required more than 70 months - a record - for loratadine/Claritin to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The company making Claritin claimed that the effective dose was 10 mg and that there was no sedation at this dose. In fact - there is some sedation at this dose - although the drug was eventually allowed to be marketed as non-sedating. The FDA maintained that the effective dose was 20 mg at which dose the company would not be allowed to market the drug as non-sedating. The company making Claritin eventually wore the FDA down and the 10 mg dose was approved."

Just meth-grade sudafed. The new stuff doesn't make me wired, but also doesn't work.
Fun side-story. I always have at least a little bit of congestion. Just about 100% of the time. So I took some Sudafed to clear me up for a rather large show. By the time we played, my voice was almost gone from yelling to friends through the smoke over the music, and the Sudafed amplified my nerves to the point that I puked onstage during our second song. It was a good day.

Bumo, had to miss work yesterday, caused a migraine that led to throwing up. Went to Dr's got a couple shots, some Anti Biotics, and Zyrtec. I wish my allergies would just cause a runny nose but they cause me Migraines. Really really bad migraines.
