Bump when you order/renew MSU football tickets (2012 edition)

  • Rook said...

What is the likelihood of not getting a parking pass if you order one and you are a first year season ticket holder?

You have to have the minimum required donation amount into the Spartan Fund before June 30th to get the Parking pass.

Except you have to pay at least $250 now to order it, unless I misunderstood.

The $250 is the minimum required donation.

The way I was told a couple of hours ago by both the ticket office and Spartan Fund: "$250 donation to the fund by June 30th and $105 for the parking pass".

They can reserve the parking pass and charge you for it now...just make sure you have the minimum donation by then.

Honestly I don't know. I asked when I called because I REALLY want one and they said "it depends on how many other donors, and higher donors, request them". The girl I talked to honestly couldn't ballpark my odds of getting one.

And Oranje nailed it. Minimum donation to make you eligible for a pass is $250 and the pass itself costs $105 additional.

I know that my friends were ~5 year ticket holders and first time donors last year and they got a pass. i'm sure tickets and donations will be up this year, but you still have a pretty good chance as long as you aren't a young alumni or something....

  • oh yeah....bump for renewing too..year 5.

  • There's the parking info.

It's based on your donating level first, then your rank within that level. If you donate $500 you get get priority over everyone donating $250 in the orange lot regardless of their accumulated points.

I'm sure the seat fees will mix things up. If really you want a seat in the orange lot, it probably will be a good idea to bump up an extra $250. Or better yet, upgrade your seats during the relocation process.

I'm planning on either the $300 or the $400 per seat location - so $600 or $800 total. Hopefully I'll be able to land a spot and also not get stuck on the far south end or across from Kellogg.

I'd guess if you donate $500, you should get into an orange lot of your choice, but who knows. FWIW, $1000 is the next tier.

  • Year 9. First year as a Spartan Fund donor. First year as a parking pass owner.

    BH Spartan

  • FYI,

Per the Ticket office just now - parking passes are not assigned until July; thus wait until you select your seats in May and see what your donation requirement is, then purchase parking pass based on your then donation level.

  • renewed earlier this week - 15th year.

  • Re-up'ed for the 4th year :) Sec 26 row 38. Probably keep the same seats.. Be tempted to go up higher to get under the awning, but I like the people I sit around, + a good view.

Can't wait for the best home schedule in a long time!

  • Bump...basically the season tickets my parents have had since the mid-60's. They were switched to my name and my brother's name when they did the whole seat licensing thing.

No, price for tickets due May 1. You will get an invoice for any required donation based upon where you land your seats. June deadline to pay the donation.

  • Just renewed...

A little bit of sticker shock. First year without young alumni discount+price increases+donor requirment=
Cost went from about $370 for two tickets to about $820.

But it should be worth it. Haven't lost a home game in the two years since I graduated and a great upcoming schedule.

I am going to try to move seats. The old man behind me complains about me standing a couple times every year. The people to my right often sell their tickets to opposing fans. The young couple to my left usually show up about half a quarter late and always leave early or don't show up at all for games like FAU. I'm going to try to move closer to some friends in the same section.

I'm a little worried that my old seats might be lucky though. Consecutive 11-win seasons with me sitting there. I mean, I could sacrafice sitting by Grandpa, Sellouts, and Late-shows if it meant winning the conference/division every year.

  • Bump, year 6, like Dantonio. My tickets have gone from $175 to $231 to $333 (with mandatory donation) in that time lol. Given the improvement on the field I have no problem with that green_koolaid
