CFN's 2012 Big Ten Conference predictions

  • Michigan is setting themselves up to be somewhat like this year's version of Florida State. A roster with upside that may be good down the line, but in 2012 they will be ranked way too high, way too soon with a tough schedule to boot. Much like FSU... people will think "man those recruits are really going to load them up" until it's week 8 and those preseason poll idiots will see the younger players being completely thrashed and outclassed by older, more experienced guys. The schedule is the biggest impedement. They're going to have to be a much better football team to go 10-2 with that schedule.

Also echo the guy that said Purdue is a big sleeper in the Leaders. Agree 100%. If they get some line play (especially on the D-line) to go along with the skill guys they have coming back they could be a tricky team to play. Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State all at home.
