Call to arms for RCMBers: Help needed

  • I like to think of tRCMB as one big dysfunctional family and despite the "anal", "nucky" and "we're working it" all of us face real shit in our lives and all of us could use help during our crapiest times. Right now I'm in a fairly good spot and have started to realize we shouldn't take everything for granted and appreciate what we have and who we have in our lives.

That said, one of our own, Minnie, needs help for her family members who are working to get rid of some crappy diseases.

So, I put out the challenge: can tRCMB get $1000 total to Minnie's nieces foundation?? If Minnie tells me we got it, I will throw in another $100.

Help if you can...we all will go through some shit in our lives and will need help. Pay it forward now if you can.

  • We currently have $300 in donations from the RCMB. If we can collectively raise another $700 that will bring the donation total to $1,000 which is a titanium level sponsor.

At that level of sponsorship, there would be a full page ad in the benefit concert program, a listing on the foundation's web site, and mention in all promotional materials. I will also put the names of all the donors from the board into a raffle and choose two winners, each who will receive a pair of tickets to the concert on Saturday, April 13 at the Kellogg Center featuring headliner Chris Trapper and opening act Joshua Davis Trio.

I would list by name all the donors in the ad and a link to the RCMB will be printed in the ad.

All donations are tax deductible and all proceeds raised by the benefit are split equally between three charities:
National Dysautonomia Research Foundation, Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation, and Vasculitis Foundation.

Last year the girls raised over $12,000 and this year are hoping to double that amount.

I appreciate your consideration and every donation, even just $5 makes a difference in helping to fund medical research and education about the rare illnesses affecting the girls.

I will also send a PM to all donors with information on the foundation and where to send your donation. I will PM the info on Friday.

You folks are all wonderful and again, I thank you for your kind consideration.

  • Done. Hell, if I can give cash to Forbin for Izzone food I can throw this a couple of bucks.

  • Done. Best of luck!! Go green!

Don't bother putting me in for the raffle. I live out of state and would rather others that can use the tickets get them.

The girls' foundation is hosting a benefit concert. Boston singer-songwriter Chris Trapper is the headliner, and Lansing based Joshua Davis Trio is the opening act.

The concert is Saturday April 13 at the Kellogg Center on the campus of Michigan State. Event is from 6-10 PM and features free beer and wine, cash bar, free heavy appetizers, silent auction, presentation by the girls, and then the concert.

Last year over 200 people attended and the girls raised over $12,000 for the three charities their foundation supports:Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation, National Dysautonomia Research Foundation, and Vasculitis Foundation.

For my donation, do I just click the link, donate, and then PM Minnie? Is that the plan here?

  • As of this moment, tRCMB has raised $831 for the foundation!

I cannot put into words how much your kindness and unbelievable generosity have touched the hearts of Katie, Allie, and me.

    You folks are beyond wonderful!!!

We only need to raise another $169 to reach our goal of $1,000 from tRCMB!

Finally, Katie received a donation for $30 this afternoon and we are not sure if it came from a RCMB donor. If your initials are SW and you made a $30 donation this afternoon, please PM the name and email address you used to complete your transaction so we can credit the RCMBer properly.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I am have tears of joy running down my face right now because I am so grateful to all of you who have opened your wallets and hearts for a cause so dear to my heart.
