Post of the year, right there.

175+ upvotes for that post (deservedly so), but the thread itself only shows +25. 247 math? shrug

Decent picture thread, amazing joke. What's so hard to understand, they each received what they were due.

So there are 150 downvotes in this thread somewhere? Really? Doesn't seem likely.

That's because the thread upvotes are only the first post, which has +25. Welcome to 24/7, only took you 2,432 posts to not realize this.

  • RG3 throws a great deep ball. He didnt just throw bubble screens. All you would have to do is watch a highlight tape. You dont throw that many TDs by throwing bubble screens. Maybe some concern about the quality of defenses in the B12 but no question he can not only air it out but also is accurate.

My concern with him is durability. He seems a bit on he small end to take an NFL pounding. I guess we will see.

[doh] I've always assumed it was an aggregate of all votes within the thread.

As JLo there explained, the +/- in the thread title does not track all of the upvotes and downvotes in the thread. It only references the original post.

I can see this happening...I an also see the team move towards following Cousins and believing in him.

  • It's weird seeing Kirk in maize.

Draymond Green, Magic Johnson, and Oscar Robertson are the only players to have two triple-doubles in the NCAA Tournament.

Are you wishing an injury on my QB?

Because I'll fight you for that?

I don't think you understand how serious we are about the Redskins.

They are debating the Griffin-Cousins situation on ESPN First Take right now, with Rob Parker, of all people, moderating. lol

Has he said that Kirk knocked RGIII out? or have his "peeps" not relayed that information to him yet?

    Cuz it's coming.....

  • "2. Griffin’s footwork is just different than the other quarterbacks who were here (Kirk Cousins and Jonathan Crompton). Cousins’ feet are a little rougher. That’s not to say his footwork was bad – and his game is not built around mobility – but that it suffered in comparison. The funny thing is, when Griffin was facing eight defenders (in a seven-on-eight drill), he never tucked and ran. Cousins did so on his first dropback and did it later as well."

    6. Cousins’ arm was pretty solid, too. He doesn’t have Griffin’s zip, but few do and there’s no doubt Cousins can make all the throws. But he will be the classic system-type QB. It’s helpful that he understands the situation he’s in, but he’ll prepare the same regardless. If he prepares well and plays well in the preseason, and possibly in games where RG3 can’t go, then Cousins eventually will get his shot as a starter somewhere. And he knows that.

  • They are rooming together in camp, which is apparently the plan for the road also. Fans around here never go to college games or figure out what is really going on in any conference let alone the B1G. It's pro sports all the way, so the sports wanks, especially Feldman basically feed the beast and slop up to the "national" media picture. Cousins is invisible for now. Fine. I think that will change in the pre, especially with Nichol signed

  • I hope Kirk learns what he can learn and then has a chance to get the heck out of Washington by the end of year two.

So Cousins treated the drill like a real game situation and RG3 didn't because he knew the rules of the drill prevented him from being sacked.

I see Mike Vick written all over this guy, and I dont mean that in a bad way. Vick had a cannon for an arm, but didnt use it as much as he could have in the early years because he left the pocket and was headed downfield at the slightest signs of trouble. He needed to be more patient and learn to hang in the pocket a little longer.

    Time will tell

I don't see that at all. RGIII has better touch than Vick will ever have and is a pass first guy.

  • Nichol says KC is the guy to handle a quarterback controversy.

In other news, "Rex Grossman [was] happy to take an afternoon to teach Robert Griffin III everything he knows. ... Griffin reportedly thanked him for his thoughtfulness, but asked if they couldn't really cover most of it over the phone." [From theonion.com]

Ticker: Redskins' Keith Nichol thinks Kirk Cousins can handle QB controversy | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

If anybody can handle a quarterback controversy, it's Kirk Cousins. So says receiver Keith Nichol, who went through a QB competition with him at MSU. Last weekend he was at a tryout for the Redskins, who drafted Cousins and Robert Griffin III.
