Captain Kirk showing why he's the best guy around

  • Winston Wolf said...

This makes him sounds like Tebow II

I consider him to be more of a Tebow Light than a Tebow II.

I've always been in the separation of sport and religion camp.

I've always been in favor of people being who they are, wherever they are. Kirk is real. Who could ask for more? To not be himself would be being phony. and he is anything but.

Griffin hasn't taken one pro snap and you're that convinced. Good for you. BTW, I never insinuated that I hope Griffin gets injured so get over yourself.

I wasn't saying you were insinuating RG3 gets hurt but there are those on this board who have.

All I am saying is that with all that invested in RG3 the 4th rounder isn't going to be starting over him. Even if KC is better than RG3.

I agree. My point was very simple. IF and I agree it's a big IF RG3 fails I don't think that KC will be a big drop off. KC will learn the plays quickly and only get better with pro QB coaching. Agree with you that the Skins will stick with RG for a long time given their investment. KC fate is more likely to be trade bait in a few years.

Anyone who regularly watches the NFL should know Captain Kirk will get a chance to shine. RG3 is great, but he is another Michael Vick who will be plagued with nagging injuries year in and year out. Defenses are going to eat RG3 alive, he will end up missing games due to injury. Not something I'm "hoping" for, but something that seems inevitable.

    Wow.

RGIII is not Vick. At all.

  • Cousins is a good Christian role model and just an all around great person. I wish him all the best.

Shanahan has proven time and time again to not give a shit. Maybe not this season, but even as early as year two, if he's struggling and Cousins looks good, Cousins will play.

I've always assumed someone from tRCMB fed Parker that story in the "what can we get him to report in the 'Mother Teresa drowns kittens' level of believability.

Not going to Wells this up, but you ought to look into Mother Teresa's actual activities. The myth of her saintliness is WAY overblown.

Excellent. KC absolutely could do the job RC3 can.

It's not whether or not he's seen him take a snap, It's the fact that the redskins traded up to the number two pick to take Griffin, they have made it clear that he's their number one guy from the start. The debate is over, Griffin will have all the rope in the world and Kirk will sit for a great while.

I highly suggest for one to avoid reading the comment section of that article.

Agree - ticked me off a bit because they just don't know Kirk or how he handles his personal beliefs. Reading the article I can understand the Tebow reaction, but his statements were in the context of his unexpected situation. The man will not be praising God publicly for every touchdown.
