This, I'm pretty sure almost every game is a sellout. There's only like 36,000 seats and wrigleyville is full of young people so day games are usually packed. Hell even at my work it's not uncommon for people to take a half day and head up there for the day games from time to time.

Any interleague game is going to be expensive. Tigers, Bosox, WhiteSox...alll of these are a lot more in demand than Pittsburgh or Cincinnati.

Trying to go Thursday; not sure what I'm going to do about tickets.

This. To the OP, Wrigley is known for day games. It was the last MLB stadium to add lights and it hasn't been that long that the stadium has had them. Thus, while in most places night games are a premium because there is a more "big-time" feel with the game at night with the lights on - the opposite is case with Wrigley. I am coming in from Detroit for the Thursday game and wanted the day game because if you are going to make a trip to Wrigley you do so for a day game.

Edit: I just read red cedar's post below me - holy crap, I can't believe it has been that long. Nonetheless, my point still stands that a day game at Wrigley is special (especially for old guys that remember when it didn't have lights).

Flying in from Portland & meeting a buddy to see Roger Waters at Wrigley Fri night... then going to the ballgame Tues night. Anybody got ideas for what to do in between?

For those of you looking for tickets, and will be in Chicago the day before or very early on gameday....

Check craigslist. There's usually a ton of people who cannot make it last minute. They'll unload tickets for face, or under face within 24 hours of the game. You'll most likely have to pick the tickets up. But most sellers live on the north side, or work downtown.

Also, in my opinion a lot of the 400 & 500 level seats are just as good as some of the lower bowl seats...and you'll save money.
