Yeah but he coached em there. Coaching a team with a bunch of freshman to a title is impressive. He was able to put their egos aside and play TEAM basketball. Something that is hard to do nowadays, especially with the head most of these kids come into college with.

I could have won a NC with that roster and I reached my peak in basketball as a member of an 8th grade basketball team as the gritty 5'5" kid with PF skills.

The man can actually cheat. Two programs have been stripped of final fours and sanctioned because of his tactics. And I don't mean his x's and o's. His strategy is to $leeze his way through the top 10 recruits in the nation and hope that they're so overwhelmingly talented that even his subpar coaching can't screw it up.

track record. Everywhere he coaches gets sanctioned. Happened at UMass and it happened at Memphis. He consistently used illicit means to get players into his program and/or a track record of players under his watch getting money (see Derrick Rose and Marcus Camby). Calipari has had EVERY NCAA final four appearance prior to his arrival at UK vacated due to NCAA violations.
With a history like that, anybody with any bit of common sense would be skeptical of the way Calipari has managed to bring in blue chip prospects at the rate he is bringing them in at UK.

He really doesn't care as long as he wins and gets paid. Saying you need proof that Calipari is slime reminds me of Carl Everett saying he didnt believe in dinosaurs because he never saw one.

This too. UK has a long history of issues. They were the first program to get the death penalty due to violations back in the 50s and they came close to getting the death penalty again in the early 90s due to multiple violations at that time too.
So when you have the combination of a coach who has a shady reputation with a school with a history of sometimes shady tactics, and you HAVE to be skeptical.

I have no respect for Cal, but I do have to say that he did a solid coaching job with this year's team. No matter how talented your players are, you have to meld the egos, control minutes, etc. etc. Lots of people cheat in college hoops, but most of the cheaters don't win titles and go to multiple Final Fours.
That doesn't make Cal any less of a scumbag, of course.
