No...not at all, but it's an important step in the right direction.
I give it 5 years before someone in power brings up the simple idea of "we made 5B on 3 game, imagine what we can make on 7 games!"
It's inevitable.

Nope. Wish they would have gone back to the old system with conference bowl affiliations then one game after that. I am definitely in the minority though.

The Plus One System would've been worse and would've lined the pockets of the sport coats even more than the BCS.
You'd basically would have haf ESPN deciding who plays for the NC based on who they think will bring in the most TV ad revenue.

Yes....IF the committee is instructed to put additional stock into strength of schedule. The first real test of the new system will be when a 12-0 team from the minor conferences like the Mountain West or Big East is up against a 10-2 team from the Big 10 or SEC for the #4 spot. AD's will watch that for an indication of how tough to schedule down the road.

Will the Big East be considered a minor conference, like they should, or are they going to be considered a major conference like they currently are.

My hope/expectation is that conference power rankings will fluctuate from year to year like they do in basketball. A football conference RPI, essentially.

Big East or Mountain West teams should never be allowed in. I hate those conferences so much.

The beauty of the hoops tourney is that the final teams on the bubble have twice in 30 years challenged for title (mason in 06 and Vcu in 10). The fifth team could win it all in football.
It also can mitigate importance of rose bowl. It's an improvement, but still needs work.

Ugh, no way. 16 is too many. Football is not hoops.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

No, it's stupid. I would have rather seen the SEC told to play their own tournament at the end of the year and let them call themselves national champions.
The biggest prize in college football to me as a Spartan fan is the Rose Bowl - a game you earn your way into on the field, no questions asked. Having a committee select FOUR teams to play for a championship is absurd - slightly less absurd than picking two, but not much.

I've always failed to understand how some can accept the "reward" for winning the Big 10 championship as having the opportunity to play an exhibition game on the road against the top PAC-X team...with no real opportunity at winning a national title.
For me, a flawed playoff system is far superior to the current bowl system...

No, not at all. I would love to see an eight team playoff. Than make all conference championship games from the Big 6 conferences be to get to the playoffs, with 2 at-larges that can come from any conference or be independents. I guess that would almost be a pseudo-16 team playoff. More ratings, more money, it would work.

I'm not, but hopefully it's a stepping stone to an 8-12 team NCAA sanctioned playoff. I just want to see all the current bowl committees removed from the monetary side (since they are corrupt).

I don't see how admitting only 13% (and shrinking) of teams diminished the regular season.
The NCAA basketball tournament admits about 20%
The NFL admits about 38%
The FCS admits about 16% (20 out of 122 participants) and are seriously thinking about expanding it to @20%
13% in the playoffs is actually lower than MLB's 16%.
An 8 team playoff means there is only 6% of FBS teams admitted...the 4 team playoff...is 3%.
