Congrats Matt Costello-Mr. Basketball

dumbest post of the day. congrats

You must be one of the basketball geniuses who flamed me when I pointed out that Thornton was better than Byrd earlier this year. Every time we get a white recruit, MSU fans hype him until he's the next coming of Larry Bird. If you think Costello is going to step into the Big Ten and dominate or even start after watching him shoot a series of soft lay-ups against 5'6 15-year-olds, you are on crack.

I wish Costello every bit of success at MSU. Glad we got Mr. Basketball. But he won't be doing much next year.

so, he can't be good because he's white...and he only won Mr. basketball because he's white?

    racist much? whiny bitch much?

Anybody else think that DV would smoke Costello in a game of one-on-one?

What about when Derrick Nix won it? Don't you think every guard worth a damn in Michigan that year would've smoked him in a game of 1 on 1. Since when is Mr.Basketball an award for the best 1 on 1 player in the state? Get a brain moran!

Did I say any of those things?

    Poor, poor white people.

Of course, one-on-one doesn't matter. Just my way of pointing out that, despite Costello getting more hype, DV will have a bigger impact at MSU, both immediate and long-term.

Very glad we got them both.

    Thanks for exposing yourself asshole.

  • Anything else you wish to share with us Nostradamus? Lottery ticket numbers perhaps? Perhaps you should give Izzo a ring and offer your professional scouting expertise to him...

It's sad when Ross has to be the voice of reason to one of your posts...

Not really. When I joined this board I was a dumb little 15 year old. That bad rap stuck with me, I'm really not that bad anymore.

Yeah, the SVL is really a bunch of 15 year old 5'6" kids. no

and Matt could hold his own in 1 on 1, if both players started with the ball 5 feet from the basket.

DV's twitter headslap...make me a lot less excited for him coming in. Instead of congratulating his future teammate and take the high road, he has a meltdown....wow, didn't expect that from that kid

i just checked and he must have deleted whatever you found objectionable. what was he saying?

On the other hand, it appears Matt Costello does not have a twitter account, which makes him my favorite player in this class already ;)

He wasn't "saying" anything. He was lol'ing and retweeting some of his friends who were going off on how he got robbed in the Mr BB voting and how Costello had to create a web page in order to win. It came across as him being a sore loser instead of just congratulating not only a deserving choice for Mr BB but a future teammate also.

  • Denzel had the better team. Tough choice
