I pray it doesn't rain this year. I think I've been to the game the past 3 seasons and it has rained each time.
Is it time to start the official Spring Game Tailgate thread? I've got the El Azteco Cheese dip covered. Red? Pinky? Shabooms?
Isn't Forbin having subs and pizza delivered?
He has set the bar hasn't he. Very good then. It's settled. He should probably add to that a big batch of Excellence-Aid. We have standards to live up to, and demand excellence at RCMB tailgates.
Who will be coordinating the offense?

Someone better than the previous guy.
TanFan. We'll be running the wheel route exclusively.
And demanding excellence.
Bump! Spring game is this month....No more basketball to watch. It's just Tigers and the Spring Game for me at this point...
Anyone know if the kids clinic will be a part of it again this year? I've tweeted at the official MSU Football and their facebook group a couple times with no response.
I am so excited. Made it up last year for the spring game and was impressed with the play of some of the young guys. Hoping the offense is notably better and that O'Connor and Cook play well.
Edit: would be nice to see a good pass rush w/o blitzing too.

I remember watching the 2011 spring game and seeing Maxwell throw and being unimpressed. I think that you can see some things in the spring game that are telling for the season ahead. You don't want to put too much stock in it, but certain things I'll be looking for this year:
1) Are our WRs getting better separation?
2) Calhoun and Heath's progress at DE.
3) LT's ability to play defensive tackle.
4) Can our OL take a step forward? Specifically want to watch the OT play.
5) Can Muma kick FGs? What's his range?
6) What is our quality depth like at TE
7) The competition at RB. Is Nick Hill #1 because of experience within the program, or #1 in ability.
8) Want to see if Tyler O'Connor is as good as the raves we have heard about him.
Ill been in Detroit for a Stepdad Concert. Ill be in SS by spirit though
nvm...Just heard on the Inside Spartan Athletics show that it's coming back.
That said...If you can make it and have an 8-12 year old...get them to the clinic. Helluva lot of fun. This will be my son's third time taking part in it and he loves it. As a parent you can get some great candid photos with the players and the kids.
Everyone outside of the QB's the last 3 seasons have been extremely friendly and easy to approach. The QB's just hand them a ball and walk away. The Oline is probably the most fun group, they really ham it up for the kids and make them feel special.
So AA...what time should I meet you to set up the tent? I'll bring the little fire bowl. Do you need a grill? My bad ass tailgating grill with stainless breakfast griddle needs some use....bacon and eggs this year? Someone bring Bloody Marys and Mimosas? Dendro? Shabooms?
so pumped for the spring game... Hoping there's good weather. Plus I love that you can just walk in with a big bottle of vernors that's half makers mark
My biggest thing is the play calling. More specifically the run game. How often are we going to run stretch plays and zone schemes vs. trap and power. I think when your depth evaporates at the OL position, having your less athletic linemen running laterally to make blocks is a bad idea, I would like to see more man on man blocking schemes.
How am I going to get my Louisville shirt back from you then?
What time does this start?
The B1G network loved our spring game last year. MD has fun with it and makes it interesting...as he should.
If you expect to see any of this in a televised spring game, you'll probably be disappointed.
working the gate that day: I'll look for you (and smell each POTENTIAL pop bottle with booze in it)
...................kidding brah......have fun
I'm going to the game, so I'll be able to see a fair amount
If you go to the game and expect to see what you listed above as stuff you "want to see", prepare to be disappointed.
Hasn't been a problem the last couple years. Are they calling super secret plays this year? Maybe they'll sprinkle in a dance routine or two, just to throw us off?
Shouldn't be difficult to discern between two types of blocking schemes, I appreciate your concern though.
