Went to Holiday Market after work. They had one case and three sixes left. Put two sixes in my cart along with a 4-pack of Young's Double Chocolate Stout.
They had another case sitting about 10 feet away but the chick managing the department said it was already sold. Forgot to ask her if/when they are scheduled to get more
That is the most bland chocolate stout I've ever had. (yeah, I know, "exceptional" rating on BA)
Maybe I just got a bad bottle.
My buddy just found a 6er of H-slam for $13 in the D...I'll be stocking up come Monday.
Tried Sanders chocolate stout in the bottle...it sucked. I like Young's in the can. The widget helps make it less flat
I'll give Young's in the can a try the next time I see one. Yeah, Sanders was lame as well.
This, however, is absolutely fantastic! http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/40058

71 dollars, but worth it.
2 sixers acquired in NE Ohio at one of my regular grocery stores (Acme in Hudson), can't wait to try this. Never had it before

Just picked up 2 six packs as well. almost $40 though. Drinking some tonight.
I was in East Lansing over the weekend and was shocked at how many places had Hopslam on tap.
Pretty much every bar we went to had it.
As a whole, I was surprised at how many craft beers were on tap at bars in EL. I always remember most of those bars as being swill beer type places when I was a student, was surprising to see such good beer available, and it all seemed ridiculously cheap to me.
Big mugs of Labatt at the Riv. Something like $2/ea.
I remember the Small Planet having a few special beers on tap occasionally. Mountain Mikes pizza was the first place I ever had Oberon on tap.
Crunchy's has a friggin beer menu and like 15 craft beers on tap now. I didn't ask if they would serve hopslam in a bucket though....
That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen
