Did you see this? I beleive it's fairly... ummm... revealing, in a couple areas.
Sounds like Arnett has the dreaded Chris D. Rucker syndrome. Poor kid would put 10 yards of seperation between himself and the db and he'd spend the next 20 yards bobbling the pass til he was out of bounds.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
yep...I hadn't seen that. It is revealing. Kid seems pretty melancholy...sure made it CLEAR how much we run the ball.
damn, hope to hell that's not the case: Chris really had quicks and talent and.......stone hands. Samuel did say in that interview the other day that Arnett's ability to seperate at the line of scrimmage is superior: which is why I thought he was high on him...heck, he may still be high on him. But as we just found out, his teammates aren't. Here's the interview I keep referencing:

Most interesting points of the draft:
-LT as the first pick of the DTs
-Bullough as the first pick at RB
-Calhoun going before Rush
-The entire WR order: ( Mumph, Burbrige, Troup, Lippet, Jakubik, kings, madaris, arnett)
-Nick Hill being the 3rd Rb taken
no problem with any of that. I DID say Riley would be first RB earlier today....from what I read on another board the kid looks GOOD, although it was a move made out of necessity. Hey, TJ started out at LB too...and got switched. THat worked out just fine. Calhoun is beasting supposedly so....that's a good thing. Arnett situation is just......
Yup, he sure did.
He's really had to (begin to) undergo an attitude adjustment playing for (or more accurately, not playing for, MD).
Mark doesn't just give you the keys because of what you did in High School. You've got to earn it everyday in practice. That's been a pretty tough lesson for the kid. He's grown up a bit, but there's still a lot of room for improvement in my opinion.
He came in with a massive chip on his shoulder after spurning our program initially. I think he's been quite resistant to the attitude and attributes MD and Co. like to instill in its' players. He's been his own worst enemy and no doubt his Spring Game selection number reflects upon that.
I hope he uses it as motivation to be a better (team) player and not embitter him any further.
Anyone else surprised about Madaris and Kings being below jakubik? I mean we heard a ton last spring about this kid and then he didnt see the field hardly at all? I hate reading into spring stuff, but what happened to all the hype around Madaris, I was really hoping to see those two near the top, pushing our first unit. I guess Jakubik could do that too, just really weird to see 2 walk-ons in the top 6. Hmm.
