Side question, why is everyone using the AP now? It used to be other any AP articles everyone referred to teams based on their coaches numbers (other than CBS). Now nobody seems to use Coaches and everyone uses AP. I feel like this just changed this year.
A Spartan Today, A SPARTAN FOREVER. Through thick and thin, low and high water I strive to be the best Spartan ever.
Football uses the AP until the BCS standings come out. Makes 0 sense to me, since the AP poll has 0 effect on the BCS standings/national championship race. I guess it's just a way for the networks to justify having an AP poll . . .
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
ESPN used to be a sponsor of the coaches poll, but they aren't anymore. When ESPN ran the coaches poll, that's what would be used in their graphics, articles, etc. Now that they aren't involved, they use the AP poll.
Similar deal for football. Now, they use the BCS rankings. But when Fox held the BCS rights for several years, ESPN would use the coaches poll for their graphics.
Which poll does the NCAA use in making out the brackets? I always thought it was the Coaches.
