Yeah. Heaven forbid they have the game with two teams from the eastern time zone played in a location in the eastern time zone as the early game.
Dammit. Dammit. Dammit.
We are the marquee game. There was never a question it would be the late game.
You can't start it at 7:30 and have half the country just getting home from work, or still at work.
I wonder if Schilling will play on Thursday. I know he can't play in Friday's game.
He lacks common sense in this area...
Yup. Fortunately, I have discovered that it can be treated with a strict regimen of pizza and beer, followed by a substantial dose of Maker's Mark.
To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan, and not quite enough time. -- Leonard Bernstein
Okay, what's your problem with the game time?
I'll be driving to Florida.
I was sure that it would be the early game though with Oregon being in the other. Putting two big fan bases in the 10-1230 slot seems odd.
Doesn't seem odd at all. Fans in the East will watch it late, especially when it's on a Friday night. Fans in the West will have plenty of time to watch after work. It gives you the largest possible audience.
Stop in Indy and watch the game.
We wouldn't expect any less of you. Carry on, Spartan.
The casual fans (and this is the audience that will make or break ratings) that want to watch a great basketball game between two great teams won't stay up until midnight to watch it.
They won't stay up late on a Friday night?
Are you predicting higher ratings for the 7:15/7:30 games?
The vast majority of the 18-34 year-old demographic that advertisers covet stay up until midnight on a Friday night. We're not talking about the 50+ demographic here.
You are completely wrong. The only way this doesn't get mad ratings in this time slot is if there is a blowout.
How is it that you know this, but CBS doesn't?

GAME TIME ALERT. SUNDAY'S GAMES WILL START AT 2:10 AND 4:55. (TV will decide which region is which after Friday's games).
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Let's get to Sunday first
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Thank goodness they considered Bob Sak's bedtime for the Sunday games.
Have you taken a poll of casual fans to come to that conclusion?
Pew just posted the results.
I KNEW someone would say this
Just my guess. I'm guessing that they preferred the UM/Kansas game on at 7p. MSU/Duke was secondary and they didn't want it to overlap, so we got the late slot.
