Of course Fridays are different. And you'd probably get your "ideal" primetime slot if MSU/Duke was the only game on Friday. But since it's not...
I did this on my last trip to D-Town. A number of hotels near the Cin City Airport exit (actually in Kentucky). That way in the AM, no Cin City traffic.
As others have mentioned, I would definitely plan to be on the Macon (South side) of Atlanta way before 5 PM! If you heading to Panama City or west, I would think about not going through ATL.
Yep. This is easily the worst traffic weekend of the year, and coming home next weekend will be no picnic either.
Not Easter weekend.....For a free ticket to a Bama game, I drove from Myrtle Beach, SC to Tuscaloosa on a Friday afternoon
You convinced me. I'm going to leave tomorrow night, drive until 2 or 3 am, catch some z's in a rest stop for a couple hours then blaze through Atl well before rush hour. Stop for the night in Tifton, crack some beers and watch the games. Booyah!
facts can suck sometimes.
Just read this interesting tid-bit on ESPN:
"Mike Krzyzewski (81) and Tom Izzo (39) have combined for 120 wins in the NCAA Tournament, the most by any pair of head coaches entering a game in which they would face one another. That shatters the previous mark of 106 which came when Dean Smith (64) and North Carolina met Denny Crum (42) and Louisville in the Elite 8 in 1997."
Clash of the Titans.
I cannot believe the first five pages of this thread are people arguing over game times.
I know you guys don't care but you have this buckeye pulling for you. I know you are all against the B1G solidarity but I am really hoping for 2 teams in the final four. Hate scUM to much to cheer for them to make it. I have always respected Izzo and the Spartans so good luck tonight.
Need Appling to play like he is capable of playing and Payne and Nix to dominate inside like I think they will and it should be a victory. Here is to seeing a few of you guys in Atlanta (hopefully).
Is there a radio feed of the pregame? Spartansportsnetwork doesn't have it, 760 WJR, notta, 730, nope!
