He predicted Michigan State and scUM would split the season series but predicted scUM will win tonight. Does this guy even know the game is in the Breslin Center tonight? He thinks both teams win on the road? I know, I know, who cares? These espn guys have shown over the years that they are at times flat out inept. Anyone who thinks scUM will win tonight has another thing coming. The Spartan Dawgs will be out in full force tonight! Go Green! Kill Blue!
Maybe he thinks Trice will be healthy by then and that's his reasoning why both teams win on the road. Katz has given MSU a fair shake throughout his career. He's not part of the problem.
I agree with that. However, both teams winning on the road seems like a tall order
Katz, Bilas and Davis are the only three guys who have consistently given MSU fair shake over the years.
Katz is wrong about tonight though.

If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.

Agreed. That's all I'm saying.
I agree with him that we'll split the series, but I think each team wins at home. Of course the Spartans are always welcome to prove me wrong by kicking UM's ass twice this year.

I said a few weeks ago that i thought we'd spilt with the road team winning in each instance, but I'm picking state to win by double digits tonight.
Aside from your slight mathematical error, I do agree
Um, no. He picked State for tonight.
Andy Katz, ESPN.com: "Michigan State. That doesn't mean Michigan won't go further than Michigan State in the NCAA tournament. This is a classic case of another Big Ten road game. The Spartans are banged up, but the Wolverines may be a bit bruised and beaten down after losing in the final possessions against Wisconsin. ... The Spartans have had more success grinding out games and this has the recipe of being a late-possession, low-scoring affair where bumping and being physical will be the norm. I'll predict a split in the season series. Pick: Michigan State 56, Michigan 54.
he's talking about this

Well, that's bizarre. Katz picked different winners in different forums. Trying to have it both ways?
Katz is a huge MSU and Izzo lover. He's always complimenting us and not letting anyone forget who we are. He's one of the few people at ESPN who's enjoyable.
The flopping from UM will be at an all time high tonight. Hoping the refs don't buy it and make UM actually pay for playing a soft lineup.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
MSU and OSU were the class of the Big Ten last year. Didn't they split in the regular season with both teams earning a road win?
It's not likely, but it's certainly not that far fetched.
