I can't hear shit..Gary is soft spoken, obviously, but ESPN Vids are always all over the place, sound level-wise.
There is romance in all of us
Gary is a well spoken guy. Excited to see what he's going to be able to do in the G&W.
Any predictions for this team yet?
Last season I predicted at the beginning of the season that MSU would go to the S16 with a possibility of going to the E8. I was bashed for that prediction because folks thought they would go further. And I understand that now because I think, had Dawson stayed healthy, MSU would have gone further.
This season, I really don't really know what to expect. I'm going to guess same S16 or E8.
Do any experts think we go further or am I drinking too much kool-aid?

I say elite 8 this year and we go to the Final four next year with Jabari Parker
That's always a safe bet with at the helm.
I think we're a legit S16 team, anything after that is gravy
I'm all in. Natty champs if Parker commits.
Edit: Next year, that is.

Starting lineup would be:
1. Appling (SR)
2. Harris (SO)
3. Dawson (JR)
4. Parker (FR)
5. Payne (SR)
OK, general question about bball here: is there an ideal size you like to have your team be relative to the opponents size?
People always talk about being able to go big or go small to match up with the other team. But if the other team goes small, doesn't the advantage of going big negate their advantage of going small? And if not, then when a team goes big why wouldn't you always go small?
He completely forgot to mention Kearney. I feel like he gets the least amount of attention of the guys in the normal rotation but I love what he brings to the team. He's a great glue guy with length that can handle the ball and play great defense. Such a luxury to have guys like him and Valentine on this squad that can play 3 positions.
"If we go against someone that's real big, we can go big. If we are against someone that's real small, we can go small."
I'm not sure why we always let the opposing team dictate whether we go big or small. And I don't see other teams playing odd line-ups to match up with us.
I agree, i consider Kearney a very valuable asset.
I think the idea is that *if* a team is doing something that works against MSU's defense, that Izzo has the ability to counter it ... whereas other teams have no answer (like when Wisconsin plays an athletic team).
before the year is up, Dawson is going to do a monster dunk where he puts the ball between his legs before coming back up for the monster cram. It's going to be epic.
WOTS...He's perfecting it in practice right now...
I suspect before its all over in the conference, Wisky is going to prove to be undervalued, and UM will prove to be overvalued.
Wisky will be tougher than people think

Well I'm hoping for a natty championship. My son's due date is April 5, so if he is born the day Tom Izzo raises the crystal basketball on the day my son is pooped out, I will never call him by his real name, but rather Tom Izzo.
Wisconsin has a good group back and a huge schedule advantage. Only play Michigan and Indiana once each.
Why does it seem that at some point every B1G team gets a scheduling break except us?
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
and why does it seem like that team is always Wiscy?
One of the best parts of last season was beating the Vadgers three times. The "Bo owns Izzo" idiots shut up after that.
Dude if that happens you had better name your kid Tom Izzo...
Defense is always underrated.
