ATTEMPT OF PALLIATION!!!
Haters gonna hate!
I'm not defending anything. I think the handshake is way overblown. This isn't peewee football, these coaches are making millions of dollars to hate each other. If Dantonio never shook another coach's hand ever again I wouldn't give two shits.
"I work with the D-line before the game and after the game"
How that interview went down:
Reporter - Coach Hoke, why didn't you make an effort to shake hands?
Jabba the Hoke - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPxPSzz0LBY
He was probably rushing off to piss on the public library like your head hockey coach. Your fine institution has shit for standards.
You're not REALLY that stupid, are you???
"We'll play anyone, anyplace, anytime!" - Tom Izzo
WTF does him working with the D-Line have to do with anything?
He has shaken hands with other coaches and talked to them. Total bullshit.
Well, you are right about that.
Yes, OSU fans are known for beating up opposing coaches after games. Give me an effing break.
I tend to agree that this isn't a huge deal, but acting like he was in mortal danger out there on the field is silly.
My god some of you Michigan fans are full of it.
The funny thing, though, is that the only fan base that is legitimately similar to the OSU fan base is...Michigan. It is the exact same dynamic. Full of actual alums of the school or other college grads who are OK and have perspective, and then some absolute fucktards. But, again, they aren't out there beating people up on the field of play.
Never encountered such a gigantic set of pussies as some of these UM folks who seem to think that Columbus is the second-coming of Mogadishu.

Matteson is not Hoke.
Question authority. Power to the people
What do you mean? Hoke does not have the stature of other coached coming over to shake hands while the opposing coach is in an interview?
Yes it is "hard to see anybody". All those television lights and cops bunched up, who knows in there?
Perhaps Hoke thought it was walverines rioting over some prepaid cell phone in a black Friday spillover?

Where you at scum douche, turns out you were wrong.
Please tell me there's video...
Yeah, I've never seen a coach have to fight his way through a crowd to get to the other head coach.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
They are making millions of dollars to win football games.
It's called sportsmanship. Get some.
Jabba the Hoke has cops with him as does every head coach on the road.
He must be a huge pussy, literally.
Meyer on "The Final Drive" skewered Hoke subtly.
He talked about "there is a lot of dislike on the field, but after the game there is respect". He said it twice for emphasis and obviously calling attention to the Hoke's behavior while not mentioning it.
Bang! You just effed up that Walverine. He won't be back...
