There used to be Big Ten teams that I didn't really mind. Over time though, it seems that I've found very good reasons to dislike just about every other team. Even seemingly innocuous teams like Minnesota (had a flag stolen there) or Purdue (sat through the Saban era game where they came back after on-side kick) have given me reasons to dislike them.
Penn State was the lone team I kinda still liked, and we know how that worked out.
I hate them all and don't believe in rooting for them in the pre or post season. We don't need anyone else in the conference to be successful for us to be successful.
Ummm, yes. And I only became a B1G "fan" when I came to MSU in 05. Almost the entire conference can go screw themselves, and Delaney didn't really endear the conference to me after the 2010 season.
I never used to pay much attention to Purdue, but as I get older they are starting to aggravate me more and more. Their fan base seems like a bunch of whiny bitches (especially basketball).

You're in college. The window of opportunity to drink and do drugs and take advantage of young girls is getting smaller by the day.
Yes. I used to like every school except Michigan. Now I pretty much dislike them all except MSU.
That said, Northwestern is the only other school I feel OK rooting for.
Aside from msu, I root for psu and northwestern. Everyone else can eff off. TALKIN TO YOU, HOOSIERS!! FORKS DOWN
Sometimes your trolling legitimately makes me laugh.
The internet and this place have provided me with too much access to shithole fans from other teams.
I've hated the University of Chicago's football team since I was a kid.
Bob tilting fletch again
Only because we keep adding more teams to the league
Forks Down! IU is Satan incarnate!
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
It used to be I only disliked UM, and that was only because of the legions of truly ignorant, truly repugnant fans that UM has. Hell, until a year ago I actually liked B___, but apparently he's been in Ann Arbor long enough that the douchiness finally set in. Him embracing the whole "Ohio" thing is a joke...especially after the Ohio Bobcats sent him home early last year.
But, Wiscy and Purdue fans have proven to be a least as douchey and whiney as UM fans, though in a different way.
I wouldn't say I mind those fans, I just don't like them. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Old Man Zombie Wiscy fan lose his shit last year. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the look on Matt Painters face as Dawson and Harris make the Boilers their bitches.
As for the others, I don't really think about them. OSU and IU fans seem to think they're on the same level as MSU as a program, but I'll forgive them their homerism, the stats from the Izzo era are overwhelmingly in our favor (and unlike them, we did it without NCAA sanctions).
You disgust me. Lol.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
...and the voice of reason finds its way into this thread at post #2.
Familiarity breeds contempt. We are more familiar with B1G foes than ever, what with the internet and all.
I guess so. That being said, the major event that has contributed to my growing hate of other B1G teams is joining tRCMB. Getting older is unavoidable.
A little bit, but then I remember that these are the schools (besides scUM) that voted MSU into the conference when they didn't have to. So they can't be that bad.
Besides the typical scUM encounters most Spartans have, the only other fans I've had an issue with were Ohio State's. Sure, Purdue fans and Wisky fans are annoying at times but most of the time when I run into Big Ten alums, I enjoy it. One of my favorite moments in college sports was hanging out with Illinois alums at the 2005 Final Four.

Aside from MSU, I generally root for Northwestern.
I am mostly indifferent but have no problem rooting for these teams in post-season play if it doesn't affect MSU:
I enjoy watching the following lose, almost universally and regardless of how it may/may not affect MSU:
From a National perspective you couldn't be anymore wrong.
You are simply getting older, and like all old men you slowly start hating everything. So it's not just a sports team thing.
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
There are 3 tiers
1. Don't care about and will sometimes root for
2. Don't care about but dislike
Purdue (they're no threat in football so I do root for them sometimes)
You know you fucked up when Ross has to put you in your place.
I have to say I'm ok with NW even though there have been some tough games with them in recent years. Also don't have a problem with IU. It could be the Crean connection or that I like angry, old Bob Knight.
Calmer than you are
Don't mind Northwestern and Minnesota. I genuinely like Tubby Smith. Sorry about your flag, Trevor.
