Back in early '90s I had a pretty bad ass Stumpjumper mountain bike with a lot of high end parts. The bike was fucking awesome. High end at the time. Anyway, some dude I was friends with "borrowed" my bike - actually without my permission - and it ended up getting stolen. He claimed that he couldn't replace the bike and it was one of the reasons I never hung out with the guy anymore, that and he was also just a douche.
Last week I got a message on Facebook from the guy and he apologized, 20 years later, for my bike getting stolen and he said "I still feel bad about it" and he went on about how sorry he was that he was responsible. I replied "Well, you could always send me a check for the cost of the bike or buy me a new bike." Zero response. I know the dude got the message. No response. And he's been active on Facebook.
Fucking chump. Dude if you're going to apologize to someone for getting a $1,200 bike stolen 20 years ago and you really feel so much remorse about it then fucking man up and pay me bad for the fucking bike. Especially when I see that your wife rolls in a brand new E Class... what a fucking douche.
Everything about this makes me think that this is a gHost shtick except for the fact that "boner" was not once used in this post.
Therefore, it can't be gHost. So who are you...
Wait, you had a $1,200 bike 20 years ago, or is that adjusted to 2013 bike dollars?

Pics of bike thief's wife?
Sounds like you have no respect for the guy, so this shouldn't be an issue.
1992 dollars. The total value of the bike, back then, was about $1,200. Lots of extras on the bike. It was fucking bad ass. In comparison to today's bicycles to "replace" it would be about $3,000. IF you compare the quality of that bike to bikes that are sold today, it's in the $3 grand range of bicycles so not top of the line but also not a piece of shit entry level bicycle.
I think gHost got banned. But I'm new to the board so I'm not certain.
back in 1999 i saw a janitor come out of the engineering building, snip a bike lock and walk a bike back into the building
I bought some batteries, but they weren't included... so I had to buy them again. What do batteries run on?
i had this bike 20 years ago. I ruled the block.

Hello fellow Sigma brother!! This was my bike too. Loved that thing, washed it every other day. Haven't seen once since.
Mike Hart stole it?
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
gHost also made a thread about a borrow bike that was stolen except it wasn't in the 90's. It was 3-5 years ago.
Lmao. Poor effort.
And if it were real and you're friends with someone douchey enough to post about an E class as if it were something special... Well.... I'm sorry for both of you
How you doing Jaunito?

With improvements in technology wouldn't that relic be about $200 for the same bike in 2013 dollars?
I'ma call this one Lil' gHost...

Let me get this straight. He shouldn't buy his wife nice things so instead he can square up with you over a 20 year old mountain bike?
As if that's not pathetic enough, then you start an Internet thread about it?
I strongly suggest a diversionary hobby or just go straight to therapy.
With improvements in technology do cars cost less now?
well, I didn't think you'd be THIS butthurt about it and we could let bygones be bygones. I'm shocked that you'd come on this board and write a dissertation about such a minor event in our lives all those years ago....it hurts ghostitio....it hurts ALOT
Bike stolen 20 years ago? Tough story. wanna smell my finger?
I love that story.
I think so. What did a car with 265 HP, getting over 30 mpg hwy, with side curtain airbags, stability and traction control, side impact beams, current emissions standards, an mp3 port, satalite radio, etc. etc. etc. cost in 1993?
