Talk about kicking them when they're down. Making Samsung stop selling those phones will cost them at least tens of Millions on top of the fine.
Analogy fail. That would make sense if Apple invented the cell phone and no one else could make them. In this case it's as if Apple made a certain kind of book and a competitor copied that kind of book.
Apple didn't go after Nokia or RIM Technology
Still strange Apple has a relatioship with the microprocessor division of Samsung.
Apparently the pinch gesture.
Not trying to Wells it up, but it is funny to imagine how many that worship at the throne of the most valuable corporation on the planet and think it can do no wrong vote Democrat

You totally did Wells it up -- not cool.
The strongest trend in Apple product ownership is simply wealth. Not that only rich people have them -- but the average income of an apple customer is significantly higher than people that buy alternatives.
Anyway, since you did Wells it up :) -- in theory the "most valuable corporation on the planet" should be worshipped by anyone that thinks that markets are completely self-regulating and that capitalism is the be-all-and-end-all of economic theory. So if conservatives do not worship Apple, then it would imply hypocrisy on their part. But if they do worship Apple, then the premise of your post would fall apart.
FTR: I work for Microsoft, so hell effing no, I do not worship Apple. Also FTR, I do not worship MS either. My skills are for sale; my brain is not.
You are right. I just imagined that and it was hilarious!

If the iPhone5 is LTE, look out!
From Yahoo! News: Samsung (005930) will soon go from licking its wounds to licking its chops if Apple’s (AAPL) next iPhone utilizes LTE technology. The Korea Times reports that Samsung has “confirmed that it will immediately sue Apple if the latter releases products using advanced long-term evolution (LTE) mobile technology.” Although Apple has already released an LTE-capable device with the latest version of its iPad, Samsung is likely waiting for Apple to put out an LTE-capable iPhone before busting out its extensive LTE patent portfolio to seek injunctions. An analysis conducted by IP research firm iRunway earlier this year found that Samsung holds fully 10% of all LTE patents issued so far, meaning it could have ample firepower to take on Apple over its use of
I see Samsung's proclamation that the ruling would stifle innovation is holding true...
Yeah well you can't blame them at this point. Though it appears maybe all this patent madness is nearing an end!

I just saw Samsung won in court over Apple and their patent claims over being able to share info with tablets and phones.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
Google does an end around Apple's Pinch-to-zoom patent!
One of the patents Apple (AAPL) successfully asserted in its case against Samsung (005930) caused some alarm in the tech media earlier this week when t

Another big Apple patent invalidated by the USPTO!
Apple has always been a little over possessive of but today it appears the USPTO has put an end to that unhealthy affair. In a preliminary ruling, the multitouch patent was found invalid on all 20 points. This is unfortunate for Apple ...
Bump, Samsung wins a round against Apple:
The International Trade Commission's long-awaited ruling bans Apple from importing or selling the AT&T (T, Fortune 500)-compatible models of the iPhone 4, 3GS and 3, as well as the AT&T 3G-connected versions of the iPad and iPad 2.
The ITC ruled Tuesday that several older Apple products violate a Samsung patent, and those devices can't be imported to or sold within the United States.

This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the
