It looked so good and so improved during the first 5 or 6 games of the season, but has taken a nosedive since.
Thought that last one (and one earlier in the game) looked fine, just missed.
He still looks twice the player from last year.
You've already started a similar thread. We get it
He may not have shot well but he hit that floater and made his free throws down the stretch. And holy fuck did he play some defense late in the second half
Or maybe he just had an off night? He was pretty much asleep until the last 3 minutes.
Valentine, Dawson, and Appling were on the floor a lot together tonight. If Harris isn't going off...there is pretty much no threat outside the paint. Plan on seeing a lot more zone this year.
I think it's more than just an "off night."
In the first 5 games of the season, Appling was 9/18 from three (50%).
Since then (11 games), he's 6/25 (24%).
Ummm Trice is our best 3 point shooter.. He wasn't that good tonight but he's been the most consistent all year from back there.
Correct, Trice is usually our most consistent shooter. In my post, I mentioned the lineup of Appling, Harris, Valentine, Dawson, and/or Payne & Nix. That lineup was on the floor a lot tonight. While incredibly talented, that lineup lacks a serious outside threat. Which is why I expect to see a lot more zone throughout the year.
Valentine has a decent stroke. Too bad he was wasting his opportunities playing Harry high school tonight.
