Mumphrey showed no big play ability when got the TD against OSU right? Or when he had the big catch against Iowa? And when Lippeett got those yards against scUM on the borken play he was just lucky and the monster catch on the TD drive against Wisky was nothing special? Why do you always have to be such an idiot all time? Your non sports related threads can be real funny, but whenever you make a sports related comment you sound like such an ass bag.
You must of ignored where Lippett and Fowler made numerous big catches against Wisconsin in the last two drives. The wide receivers are hardly a concern right now with 4 good options.
Here is what I'd like to see happen. IF AND ONLY IF we lose this week, throw him out there early and often the rest of the way. Goals are blown, we need to see young kids and see what they've got. We know about Burbridge, we think we know about Kings, but DA could just be waiting to jump in on the party. Let's face it - at this point, we're going to a pretty crap bowl regardless. Play for the future, and at least see what you've got. I know all you football-nistas will tell me he hasn't done squat in practice, but maybe the kid really is a gamer. When I played hockey, baseball, and golf competitively, I hated practice but busted my ass in games. Played light years better in the heat of competition. Maybe that's what DA is. 1 touch every 3 games isn't going to tell you that.
Will that happen? Sounds like it won't. But that's what I would like to see. At least give him a legit shot in a game setting.
Mumphery 5 catches - 63 yards
Lippett 5 catches - 49 yards
Incidentally, Mumphery and Lippett lead the team in receptions.
What more needs to be said? How about STFU?
Don't worry guys. Blanch is injecting rationality and solid reasoning into this thread.
So you have been going to practice? If you seriously think the Coaches are holding him back to avoid success and save face I can't help you. Can't fix stupid.
If he leaves I will wish him well like I would any 5th string player.
Couch did this a lot as beat writer for WMU, passing off his opinions, he's a good writer, but sometimes tries to break stuff too much

You're a huge fuckin moron
Also, who the fuck unbanned Blanch?
I think everyone needs to take a step back here. This is nothing but a rumor at this point, Arnett is one play away from being in the WR rotation.
The last thing I want to do is lose a talented guy with experience and two years of eligibility left (plus a redshirt) to "open a scholarship". That's how you end up with problems like we have with the offensive line this year.
We'll see what happens.
Well this is the second time this season a story has come out about Arnette having issues with his role at Michigan State. Even if this time it's speculation, he's expressed his frustration after the CMU game and then came out with a tweet contradicting what he told the reporter.
He probably has some solid basis for his opinion.
If he leaves, good luck to him!
If he's just speculating here and it hurts a player then they have every right to limit his access. Their responsibility is to the player and the program, not to some beat writer's free speech.
Sparty is our mascot, we are Spartans.
Asked that yesterday.
I guess point shaving allegations aren't that serious.
There's no story. The OP started this thread based on meaningless radio chatter.
Solid basis? Isn't there a "solid basis" that any player with big hype and little playing time might transfer? You can't blame this one on Arnett. He's not playing, but he hasn't said anything in five or six weeks. For all we know he's been the perfect teammate.
"Tonight, we show the world what this program is made of!" -- Brian Ellerbe on Mar 4, 2000, the night of scUM's 51-point loss to MSU.
Monday Coaches meeting:
Coach Samuel: " Arnett is looking great in practice, catching everything is sight and running great routes. I say we give him a shot."
Coach Roushar: " I agree, Terry. The kid really knows the playbook and has a great attitude. Plus, Fowler and Lippet totally shit the bed last week. We gotta get this kid on the field. He started as a freshman in the SEC."
Coach D: " Sorry, guys. We can't risk putting him in. What if he scores a touchdown or something? That would make us all look bad. I would rather lose to Nebraska than to look stupid for not playing him sooner. Let him transfer."
Yea, thank god he wasn't injured during fall camp and totally had the playbook down by ND or tOSU.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Except the other guys weren't catching the ball consistently until AB started getting regular time vs. IU. Fowler immediately upped his game and I'd say the others did too.
And the word of God has spoken.
Rocky, he played vs CMU. If he didn't have it down for ND alright, but OSU was only a week before he went berserk vs. IU.
He had one catch against CMU.
It was also the only play where a WR got more than 3 yds separation. Now, is that on DA, or the play of the DB? I can't remember, but at least it was something.
Right, but he is acting like Burbridge is the only competent guy, which now appears not to be the case.
Comparoni was just on the Snout show and said Arnett arrived with a LARGE sense of Entitlement. The coaches have been trying to "re-adjust" his attitude and his skills but apparently are not having a lot of success. He said he could talk about it for a while but didn't have the time. Not a good sign. Byebye Arnett and good luck with that attitude.
Edit: Yea, he had a few catches on a bad team (which is still a bad team this year).
