Currently in 3 way tie with Mich and OSU but we beat OSU who beat Mich so we'd be #2, OSU #3, Mich #4
Except seeds aren't done at the beginning of Feb, so they really don't mean shit. Plus we are MSU, and we don't GAF what happens at the beginning of Feb.
#2 SEed in B1G Tourney at the end of Feb does mean something though. Not now, we aren't fucking Northwestern or Nebraska.
Don't think they seed em like that, but I tell you what, the top 4 teams in the B1G are very close. There is no dominant team.
Actually they do. It's called head to head matchups. MSU is 1-0 vs OSU/Mich, OSU is 1-1 vs MSU/Mich and Mich is 0-1 vs MSU/OSU
I agree with Intensity, there are a lot of tough games coming up that MSU needs to win before start taking off our pants and hugging each other.
Season is long and MSU is too good to play "oh look UM Lost so technically..." Stuff

God you suck. Take a deep dive into a shallow pool.
Nice edit after realizing you were wrong.
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
Damn you guys are reading into this too much. Of course there's plenty left to play. Just saying that so far we're doing good and as long as we at least maintain the same pace for the second half we should be in good shape
Because I realized MSU had it's toughest in the tie at home - sure
No, you provided a link to the Big Ten tiebreaker rules and claimed ITown was wrong.
Right or wrong, with teams they're tied with, MSU hasn't played them or only been at home, correct? Is that the point you're trying to make?
But what is our BCS ranking?
laconophilia is everywhere...
To indicate it referenced to total record but keep it on. My point was the tie breaker was relevant at the end of the season but thumbs up you win
You specifically claimed that the link you provided contradicted the numbers that ITown made in this post...
"Actually they do. It's called head to head matchups. MSU is 1-0 vs OSU/Mich, OSU is 1-1 vs MSU/Mich and Mich is 0-1 vs MSU/OSU"
However, there was no contradiction. You were wrong, and then you edited it.
Is there a tie-breaker that ignores end of year results key to results? That's equivalent to claiming Big Ten champs after game 1 in conference bc it ended in a win. My point is it makes zero sense to claim tiering that claims superiority when end schedule includes return visits.
Still, it's better to be in position for the #2 seed than the #8 seed or something in early Feb.
Except we still have 3 games against those two. Who cares about seeding in the big ten tournament. Let's win the conference title first.
Absent early-round upsets, whoever wins the regular season is going to have a huge advantage in the BTT. Having to play two of MSU/IU/um in back-to-back days is going to be tough as hell.
