That 3-play sequence of Wisky converting a bomb on 4th down, then Ball's TD run, and then the ensuing 2-point conversion was unbelievably annoying.
How does that even happen?

Another note, moving the KO marker to the 35 is really going to help Muma. Instead of bringing out that KO from the 2, and Abbredaris ripping off a 38 yard return or whatever, he'd be taking it 3 yards deep and maybe it's a TB.
Muma really struggled getting the ball deep; I think the extra 5 yards is a plus for State.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
I always watch until the 3rd quarter and pretend that the 4th didn't happen.
BTW, bad call on WI to just kick it short on that last KO. State had 2 TOs and 3:42 to work with, and WIsky handed them position on the 37.
Also, I wonder if Cousins decides to run on that pass to Martin if he can get a 1st down. From the stands (I was in the top row behind them, as high up as you could get in that EZ) it looked like he had room to run for the 1st down and more. On review, I'm not so sure.
Exactly my thoughts. At the game, I couldn't believe he didn't run and thought he would have gotten it easily (I was probably pretty close to where you were). But after seeing the replay, I really don't know. It would have been close.
It's amazing how similar the two Wisconsin games were. Terrible start for us in both games. Huge fumble (Baker in game 1, Hill in game 2) allowing Wisky to go up by two touchdowns. 2nd quarter domination for us in both games. Wisconsin comes back strong in the second half leading to a great finish.
i do the same friggin thing with osu
everytime the btn runs a game we did well in but lost i watch until the end...
example, our game in nebraska last yr....i watch the first 3 qtrs and think somehow we'll win, then reality sets in and i want to go drink!
Two thoughts after watching both games against Wisconsin from last year:
1. Bell is better than Baker, and it's not even close. Saying Bell is better seems obvious, but just how much better is the key. Bell is unbelievable.
2. Hopefully our young receivers can step up this year, but I think we might miss Cunningham and Martin more than we miss Cousins. Cunningham was so reliable on third down and Martin really improved as an all-around WR.
The second quarter domination by MSU combined was amazing. Wiskey must have outscored us 60-17 in the other 6 quarters.
Bell...just...wow. He's such a good back. Great balance and vision. Putting his hand down for balance on the 2Q touchdown was so advanced. I hear the word gamebreaker a lot, which he's not, but what do you want from your running game? A home run threat is nice but Bell is just awesome.
If Hill or Tompkins can provide that home-run threat, MSU's running game should be the best it's been since 2007.
Oh, and MSU's OL didn't allow a sack. Not too shabby.
That's how bad the special teams was....giving it up at the 37 felt like a victory of sorts.
Bump. Second half just started.
Fun watching MSU football when we weren't poopy bad.

Turn this shit off. I will never watch this game again and I will never speak of it again
To die in ann arbor is redundant
Agreed. I simply cannot watch this game. Too heartbreaking.

I'm still upset. Just, ugh. No words for it.
this game > this past season
I'd rather watch this season again than the ending to that game.
Oh I turn it before then. This season sucked balls. I hope we play the worst possible bowl team and get it over with.
He was doing chest bumps guys. CHEST BUMPS. Oh my god.
I'll never watch that game ever again in my life. I fucking cried after we lost.

Still can't believe Lemmonier threw that flag. If it's the 1st quarter fine, but at that point in the game if you can make any argument at all that it wasn't a penalty then leave the flag in your pocket. All college football fans were robbed of an all-timer of an ending (I guess except Wisconsin fans). We probably would've scored with a minute to go then Wisconsin would've had their chance to score. Instead we got to watch Wisconsin take three knees. Lemmonier ruined what might have been one of the greatest games ever played.
I punched a sign at Lucas Oil so hard I thought I had broken my hand. No one said anything to me, I walked out with a bubble of people around me.
MSU played the game of their lives sans about 4 plays. Any one of those plays were the deciding factor.
