I watched the first episode on Netflix. I got a kick out of it. Are you saying they don't all hate that Jack Passion guy?
I have only completely shaved my beard once since 2006. I prefer the civil war look. Chicks like it and it makes other men jealous (and then they start silly threads on the web).
1. Chitown is clearly jealous because he can't grow out a full beard.
2. "You look worse" is a completely subjective opinion that means jack shit coming from a straight guy.
3. Short stuble, while it looks good for some face types, is more abrasive than the hair of full beards. Think about how your head feels when you buzz it versus a full head of hair. My beard feels pretty soft. As a previous poster says, take care of it with conditioner.
4. Some girls like it, some girls hate it. The girls I date usually like mine, both for aesthetic reasons and apparently it feels great when I'm giving oral.
5. Guys make a certain mistake FREQUENTLY - maintain your beard. Be conscious about the shape of it. Keep it at a length and shape that fits your facial structure. Since guys often have no fucking clue how to do that, go to a salon and ask someone who knows what they're talking about.
So the point of this thread is Chitown likes guys who look like Bradley Cooper?
That guy is pretty full of himself. Most folks aren't like that. He and Phil (head of beard team USA) are douchey.
Most people only take it seriously in the context that we're growing beards, not fighting for our country.
Sparty is our mascot, we are Spartans.
Every fall and winter I rock the beard and in the spring and summer, a goatee. When I go with a clean shaven face the wife can't stand it and requests that I grow at least the goatee back.
I had a sales guy tell me that customers don't like beards because it gives the impression of being dirty. This guy was 50 w/frosted tip hair, orange suntan, and neon white teeth.
Bearded men are frequently rated as more trustworthy in the admittedly weird studies on the subject. Men typically rate bearded men as more masculine, as well.
A lot better to look at than guys who resemble the smelly bearded homeless looking guy that was sleeping on my train this morning.
You spend a lot of time looking at guys?
If you actually watched baseball at a Cubs game, you would be in the minority.
Maintain your beard and enjoy the ride. I love my beard like a son.
Some of my Spartan artwork and Keebdaddy!
The best quote I heard about guys with scruff was from a girl who said, "A good beard on a good looking guy is like makeup on a good looking girl. They don't need it, but it sure makes them look a lot better."
TL;DR: Beard haters gonna hate
Do you avert your gaze every time you come across a male?
I love threads like these because it makes it REALLY easy for me to hand out downvotes.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Also, being clean shaven past puberty makes you look like you're in a church group, playing for the New York Yankees, and/or a cult.
A tired and completely untrue mantra.
Nothing like 70mph into the wind on the scooter rockin the James Longstreet beard....you soon find out this is a false statement "chicks don't want to kiss you" .....try it sometime, when you can grow one.
I don't stare at them long enough to do a comparative beard analysis. But that is because I don't stare at people in general. Bro, you a CTA creep?

It doesn't take long to realize someone has a beard when you look at them. Oblivious to the obvious much?
Like I said, I don't go around evaluating the facial hair of other men. I'm secure like that.
"Can I help you??"
"Nah, just checkin' out your beard."
