Are they worth it? Saw that they are at 180 to 200 bucks. I'm looking to buy new headphones since I'll be traveling a lot these next few months.
You can buy refurbished ones online. Thats what i did and they were much cheaper. They are great I bought the earbud ones not the huge outer ear ones. You will be shocked by what you have been missing in music quality. I went through 2 pairs of skull candy headphones quickly then settled on the beats. These are definitely worth spending a little extra money on.
Haven't bought the Headphones but my Laptop Speakers/Headphone jack was apparently made by Beats by Dre. A lot better quality than normal stock. I put in a crappy quality headphones and they sounded like I bought a more expensive pair. Basically just saying I was impressed with the quality of the product I got from them so it could very well be worth it if you are willing to shell out the cash/
a lot of it you are paying for the name (obviously) I got a pair given to me... but the Sennheisers I bought are probably better quality and would have been cheaper....
decent, but overpriced.
not as good as sennheisers

I got Miikey wireless headphones. They were around $80. I'm no audio quality conosseiur, but they seem fine to me.
Has anyone tried the bang & olufsen buds for about the same price? I thought the sound on those was amazing. Just curious because I'm also in the market for some new earbuds.
Not worth that price.
Decent headphones, really muddy and bass heavy, very overprices.
Check out the Grado SR-80i for a good open headphone, or the Audio Technica ATH-M50 for a closed one. Recently got the M50 for $120 and they are absolutely phenomenal.
If you're going to be traveling a lot, get the Bose noise cancelling, I did a lot of research and for noise cancelling on planes the Bose can't be beat. I fly almost every week, they are unbelievable. It's not as much about the sound quality as it is the noise cancelling technology. They make flying a much better experience.
Dre beats just tend to be overly bass heavy, but they look cooler, especially if you want to look like a basketball player.
Not a search Nazi
Just a lot of good info already on this here.
Are these headphones worth the high price tag. Im in the market for some nice quality headphones and wondering what the options are. Any ha
Don't post poop!
Get these instead
Best $120 ive ever spent. These are absolutely phenomenal.

No. Something by Sennheiser would be a lot more bang for your buck.

Bose qc15 are much better t
thanks for the replies folks.
Really appreciate it!
They are like an Apple computer. If you want the logo, get them. There are lots of less "cool" option for much cheaper with the same or better performance though.
I'm still rocking these skullcandy headphones my Gam Gams got me for Christmas 4 years ago, lifetime warranty FTW. Not the best headphones, but but I can just break them in half and trade them in every time they release a new model.
Can't got wrong with old school German. Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic.

Not worth it. Buy a nice pair of studio headphones.
I have these:
Puts the beats to shame, and best of all...you don't have to charge or replace batteries for the noise cancelling. As long as the headphones have a good ear cushion seal, noise cancelling headphones are worthless.
Get these. You're welcome. I love these so much, they're the only headphones I can wear for hours at a time and have them still be comfortable, and the sound is extremely good for the price.
Amazon.com: Sennheiser HD-280 PRO Headphones: Electronics
Not worth it. I can't recommend good over ear ones, but Munitio SiTI's or Monster Turbines are better in ears.
Good headphones, but the M50s are considerably better for 20-40 more bucks.
Anyone try the RZA headphones?
As somebody who works with audio for a living, I can say confidently that the entire "Beats" line is crap. Great marketing, substandard product.
If you have money, go buy something from Bose. If not, Sennheiser is fine. Beyond that? Everything else is junk.
It's funny that you recommended Bose after saying "great marketing, substandard product". Not that Bose products aren't good, but they are definitely overpriced.
That's how I feel. Bose headphones are sort of like Sony TVs; it's going to be a great product, but no better than something comparable for 30% less.
Beats, on the other hand, are garbage. Just a decent pair of headphones with the bass cranked way up, and for that (along with Dre's name on the package) you get to pay twice as much.
