Sounds like Darqueze is back.
“@DDennard_31: Next year this time I will b in INDY!! Gettin ready fo the B1G Championship game!! Win that.. And goin to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!”
Bell and Sims will go. I think Gholston returns.
Ironically, I think the highest rated of the three (at least coming into the season) is the one that comes back. Gholston is the only one that could dramatically improve his draft stock by coming back. If he were to return and have the type of season next year that people were expecting from him this year, he could move up from the 3rd-4th to the 1st. Bell will be a 4th rounder whether he leaves this year or next, so might as well save the wear and tear and move on. Sims is gone. I remember reading an article about him that insinuated he was not looking to take a redshirt his freshman year because he wanted to get on the field as much as possible so he could leave early. He only took the redshirt his second year due to the legal issues. So, basically, he's a year behind the schedule he had for himself already. I think some team may be crazy enough to spend a 3rd round pick on him based on potential alone. It's unfortunate that we were never able to see him stay healthy for a whole year and realize very much of that potential at State.

that's a pretty accurate post man....Bell has NO reason to stay, absolutely none. Gholston and SIms should both stay IMO. SIms was hurt and needs to prove he can stay healthy and produce IMO....that said, you are probably right in saying he goes. Writing seems to be on the wall unfortunately.
Will needs to stay as he had an extremely inconsistent season to put it mildly. But as everyone knows, he has a kid now: wouldn't be shocked to see him go too.
While I agree Bell would likely be wise to go pro from a career perspective, to say he has absolutely no reason to stay is not true since kids some times come back to try to take care of unfinished business. Do I think it's likely Bell would come back to try to get to the Rose Bowl? No...but it's possible. But to say that there is zero reason to come back is not true.
fair enough: I meant from a personal standpoint obviously. Damn, if he and Gholston came back I'd be SO psyched: ain't gonna happen, but it would be awesome if it did.
Gholston is gone. He has a kid now.
Jim Miller does not know any more that you or I. Personally I think Sims is the most ready to bolt. I don't get the "Bell has done everything he can do" talk.
I think sims and gholston stay, bell leaves.
What more could he possibly do to improve his stock? He's shown the ability to pick up tough yards, make people miss on occasion, catch the ball when given the opportunity, block and that he is durable. He doesn't have the top end speed, but he isn't going to get markedly faster. Also, another year of getting beat to shit in the B1G isn't going to help his cause - you can see he was half a step slower against Minny and Northwestern than he was against Boise amd O$U. He's proven his abilities on the field. His detriment will be the 40 time at the combine. That is why I think he will probably fall from a higher round pick to the middle rounds.
Why leave when you are going to be a 4th round pick? All three can improve their stock significantly next year. Clearly Gholston can, Sims has only proven he can get hurt. He has played so little, that if he can play a full season and dominate he can be a 2nd round pick. If bell shows he can run on good teams next year he can be a 1st round pick. But these are ifs and a scout or agent can tell these guys they are 2nd rounders and they we all be gone.
*** Also wasn't Bell a predicted 1st round choice before the season?
If they all come back and State has a great year, they will all move up in the draft. Baker and Cousins were great college players but may never see the field in the NFL.
They probably should all come back. They have a chance to be a really good team.
