Picked up some Peppered last weekend.
Also got some Superman for the people I work with that say nothing "hot" phases them. They are impressed.
Haven't tried Ebels yet but until then, any other answer besides the Dublin is wrong.
BTW, not only is the jerky great at the Dublin, the brats, the bacon and especially the hot dogs are too.
Have you tried the swiss and morel summer sausage? It is awesome.
any you recommend? i might ship some down
Have to try them next time.
I'm also a fan of their wings, they smoke them before they spice them. And they aren't the scrawny ones.
My personal favorite is sweet heat beef. You can't really go wrong with any of the beef, pork, chicken or venison. I'd stay away from the ostrich and gator and what not unless you like that kind of really gamey stuff.
I like anything in that fucking place, I swear. But off the top of my head...
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Good choice, my personal favorite is Peppered, if you go there, they are more than happy to give you samples.
There's nothing like power walking to the back of the store where all the meat is..
You fuckin ate a guy? Sick man
I used to Fly fish this area all the time growing up... Then i ate the Jerky...
I don't think i can even count how many times I have drove from East Lansing to Dub, just for jerky and not even fishing, etc.
NOW they ship basically anywhere in the US.. so i keep it real and get around 30 lbs a year shipped to me... Literally there is nothing even close to this stuff... #JerkyCRACK!!!!
How much is shipping per pound???

For folks interested in the Dublin jerky, they also have a store in GR now, out by Rivertown Crossings. I think it's run by the son or something, but it's basically the same. Just in case anyone around GR had cravings.
Stopped there every year on our way up to the Keewenaw!
Always got jerky, but I'm not into smoked fish. We would usually stay at the cliffside motel (or whatever it is called right there), if we didn't want to make the full drive from Metro-D to Calumet (600+ miles).
Man, I miss it up there. Haven't been in a few years since I moved out west and only get 2 weeks of vacation - weak sauce.
I've heard it's nowhere near as good as the one in Irons but I'm sure it's solid.
It's the same company, prices are a little different.
Guess just going to the store in Welston is part of the "charm".
I'm lucky, have a place to go about thirty minutes away.
Frank's Meat Market
It's somewhere around 15 bucks for like 10 lbs...
My brother, who lives in TN, and gets to Michigan more than I do swears by this place. He swings by at least three times a year and loads up to take back home.

Welp, a cheap source for quality jerky? I'm in.
The Dublin General Store
Merindorf's is the best and it's not far from my residence.
There's plenty, you know...

Is that the place that used to be a bridal shop?
No thanks, gives me the wind something fierce.
Yes. Way back in the day it was a little school building. Now you can get 'gator bites there.
