I definitely don't want to jack this thread, as it's pretty cool to hear about all these cool shows I've never really heard about (since I was born in 1989 lol). But I'm excited as F to see tRHCP Saturday night for the first time. Anyone else going to Belle Isle this weekend?
What are the odds that Nucky has ever even been to East Lansing? all bias aside, I can't think of any condos on campus and there are certainly not that many parking structures (I actually wish there were more - it would make visits much easier).
Lil Wayne, 2008 at the Breslin Center. He was really late and really fucked up.
This. Few reunions (sans Bob) would be more relevant to my interests than the Replacements
I saw him around that time at the Wharton Center - it honestly was a really good show. I remember when he brought up a Big Daddy cab driver on stage to play harmonica.
I worked security at this one, it was an all day deal with I think 8 bands.
Adam Ant and INXS 1984 at the auditorium
RCMB Join Date: September 2001
MC5 at the Union Ballroom
Ike and Tina Turner backed by Mitch Ryder's Detroit at Jenison
Grateful Dead at Jenison
The Up at Snyder Hall lounge
Jethro Tull at Jenison
Only have been to a few shows actually on campus.
That said, for me, the answer is Notorious B.I.G. and Junior Mafia in either the fall of 95 or the spring of 96 (can't remember which).
Ben Harper at the Wharton Center was pretty badass.
Todd Rundgren, with the Tubes as the warm-up in the auditorium. Then again that was the only show I saw, but it was a good one.
Springsteen at Munn.
Sam Kinison (not technically a concert I guess) and Chick Corea and RTF in the Musicmagic tour. I think both were in the MSU Auditorium.
Tiger Woods and the Stanley Cup were also at Ricks that night.
Guster at the Aud...fantastic
ELO at the Auditorium in 1976.
Ike and Tina Turner and the Turnettes at Jenison....more than a few years ago! :) Probably around 1970 or so.
Wow, your name is really appropriate.
REO at Jenison.
Jethro Tull in Jenison, '77 or '78.
Return to Forever at the Auditorium, '76ish.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer in Jenison, '77 or '78.
Adam Sandler @ the Aud
December 3, 2011 - Forever haunted by what I witnessed...
Never went to a concert, but the Destinys Child concert in 2000 was my favorite because I met someone while she was in town with her big sister.
