The Nexus 7 is compact and fast with a very nice screen. It also feels nice to hold. There's a sort of pitted rubberized coating on that back that helps you grip the tablet. I like Android as an OS, so that's also a big factor.
It's a branding thing. Like tissue being called Kleenex, Acetometaphine being called Asprin, and cow utter pee being called Milk. Milk, Kleenex, and Asprin were such leaders in the brand, their brand name became synonomous with the product type.
Nexus 7 is great. Just bought the 32 GB for $229.99 on sale and I saw it will be available on black Friday for that price. Also the 8 GB model is selling around $160. I went from having an iPod touch and never used android before but I'm catching on.
I'm looking for a good 9" tablet. The full 10+ inch laptops are a bit too big in my opinion to carry around in a jacket pocket and 7" is just not big enough over my 4.7" phone to bother with.
Which 8-9" tablet is a good bargain?
I've been eyeing the Kindle HD+ but am worried about the OS and the lack of google play store.
You can get google play on there, just do some googling or watch youtube videos. I was looking at that too but got impatient.
