Everyone wants last year again.
I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl. We ate lobster, drank Piña Coladas. At sunset we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over and over and over?
Damn u had throw down some serious cash to get good seats in the state bloc. O well, sec 311 get some!
Anyone looking to dump tickets cheaply? I mean, the team's lost 3 in a row! And the BTT is meaningless! I'll give you below-face value so you aren't losing all your money!
Do you have a list of the various school "blocs"?
Email didn't have that information
Tickets just arrived today. Section 102. Stuck sitting with Badger fans, but well, when the old man uses his connections in Madison, we end up with much better seats than if I try to buy them through MSU.
Looks like 102 is right behind what is normally the Bulls bench, but it seems like it being the normal "home team" bench doesn't mean much for where teams sit. Here's hoping I can watch Izzo up close for at least one game.
And if the good Lord’s willin’,
I’m a keep on chillin’,
refillin’ and flyin’ high
How do you know you are in the State block?
Not to speak for The Special One, but I would assume he bought tickets through MSU and his seats are in 311, so it's safe to assume that's part of the MSU block
My tickets I got from MSU are in section 109
I heard they asked for more then what was allotted so there may be multiple sections. Typically in Indy it would be lower level section and then the club section and upper section directly above
That makes sense. When you look at the United Center seating map, it could be that MSU has seats in 108 and 109 and going up from there could fill into 211, 212, and 311 pretty easily.
I heard that Wisconsin asked for more seats than their allotment and some of those requests were filled. My seats will be in section 102, but I also know someone who got their tickets through Wisconsin who have seats in 118. I'm not sure which area is the main Wisconsin section. Sounds like lots of schools asked for more than their allotment this year and that's part of the reason the event was sold out so far in advance compared to previous years. While each school will have their own area, it sounds like some requests were probably fulfilled in other areas of the arena as well
Section 314 row 3. Any idea if this a green section?
Got mine today. 4 in 309.
Any of you guys have any luck scalping tickets there? Let me know. I'm meeting three friends from around the midwest there, we've said that maybe we'll just take our chances scalping. What's it like?
I may be there with you. Trying to work shit out from a logistical/marriage/babysitting perspective.
You owe me beers
Big time. Work this stuff out. Let me know, I'm gonna enjoy this.
Bought through msu and I'm actually in 316... typed the wrong thing

I'm hearing all sorts of weird sections here. I'm going to be very intrigued to see how they've handled tickets this year for each team. Sounds like the MSU block is spread out decently. As I said before, i know Wisconsin fans are anywhere from 102 (sideline behind the bench) to 118 (behind the basket at the other end of the arena).
If the United Center/Big Ten screwed things up with tickets this year (if everyone is spread out more than years past), it'll just be another knock on Chicago as a host city (and yes, I know we'll never know who to blame if things are screwed up)
I scalp tickets every year, that way I can pick and choose the sessions that I want to attend. I expect there to be lots of tickets available in the secondary market since the tournament is sold out. I expect uppers will be readily available at or near face. If you require Lowers, expect to pay through the nose, but they will be available. Historically, some sessions can be had below face & others are ALWAYS above face. The Spartans should be playing in Friday night's Session #4, that is usually the 2nd most desirable session, second only to the semi-finals, which will be very expensive. Surprisingly the Finals are often cheap, depending on who is playing.
Thursday Sessions: Should be face or below for Uppers (I bought Session #1 on stubhub for $12 per)
Friday Afternoon: Usually Face, but the Hoosiers are playing, so above face for uppers
Friday Night: Expect above face for uppers
Saturday: Expect well above face for uppers
Sunday: Face or below face

Chicago is attempting to do an "Official" bar thing, but Chicago is far too big to have it work. For what it's worth, we Spartans are assigned Quay. Looks like a fern bar to me. I will miss the Slippery Noodle, that place is really good to Spartans and always full of Spartans too.
I tried to link the BTT 2013 Fan Guide. I'll try again...

Quay is pretty solid
Haha...you guys are quay
Strange choice for a bar, and odd location. I've never been there but it looks a little... uh... "upscale touristy"?
I suppose it's probably close to many downtown hotels.
I will not be going to this bar on that weekend, that much I'm sure of.
Thursday March 14th.
43F and rain.
close to the hotels, actually has a good bar area in it with lots of tvs for game watches, they do a lot of hawks game watches there
It's probably close to the Spartans hotel which I believe is the Marriott on Michigan Ave. I guess 1/2 mile is fairly close.
