Hiked to Plateau Point yesterday and there was an awesome condor floating around at the point. Beautiful, graceful bird - he was messing with us and gliding about ten feet above our heads. Impressive to see close up. He was tagged with numbers under his wings so he looked kind of like an Air Force plane. Just one part of a great day.

Who is the the crazy dude sitting like that on the side of a cliff?
Me, it's only a 1,000 foot drop
yeah, but you're sitting on it sideways...if you lose your grip, you fall off to your death.
those are beautiful photos...you should submit those to a magazine or even in a contest.

If you could make up a video showing the condor swooping down and picking up that idiot on the rocks and then dropping him down the cliff I'm pretty sure you would get like 100 upvotes.

The only Byrd watchin I do is in my living room looking for Russell to show up. Nawmean?
no worthy asses this trip?
Wow, that's awesome. Ghost, after seeing you in Tempe, my wife and I went up to Sedona, (which got snowed on while we were there), and then on to the Grand Canyon. Heard all about how they're re-introducing California Condors there, but didn't see one. We saw one on the coast by Hearst Castle once, those fuggers are BIG.
Thanks for your hospitality at the game, BTW. Wish we could've stayed longer, but the wife was suffering with that cold. We thought we were cold in Tempe until we got up north. It was -8 in GC on New Year's Day! Tough on us Angelinos.

Yup. Green screen with a stuffed bird.
So who is going to Photoshop that condor swooping down and picking up gHost?
Too bad that is a vulture. Graceful indeed!! Probably just got done picking at some long dead rabbit carcass.
