With a lot of net-front tenacity.
It was the Red Wings who put a halt to a two-game slide, getting first goals of the season from Daniel Cleary, Jakub Kindl and Cory Emmerton in a 5-1 victory. Petr Mrazek, recalled earlier in the week from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League, picked up his first win in his NHL debut by stopping 26 shots. - With NHL Network Online you get all hockey, all access, all the time, live and direct around the league, every goal of every game, NHL Live on XM, classic moments, podcasts, and special programming all on demand
Thank you, Denicos.
Wow. I'm shocked. That was as bad a spear as I've seen in a long time. Glad he didn't get anything but wow...
I think Mule's received enough abuse.
The russians left with a 7-3 victory.. but this Yemelin guy shouldn't play hockey and the refs were shit aswell.
I'm aware but his play hasn't been that great this year
He has been disappointing, but he seems to be ramping up of late. I think it's important to remember he wasn't one of the guys who was playing overseas or in the minors.
I'm completely copasetic with a healthy scratch every now and then, but given what he's shown he's capable of, I'm also willing to consider the possibility he's just now ramping up to game speed.
Bert out, Andersson called up
Really surprised Nyquist didn't get a call.
its kinda horseshit eh?
Maybe. I'm wondering if they want him to get as much PT as possible, which includes staying in GR until he's absolutely needed for more than 2-3 games.
Abs is looking nice on the 1rst line
Its really not fair to put a rookie goalie out there against Pasha
OT 4 on 4
Brunner was terrible that game
Other than getting beat on the shorthanded thing, which I'm not pegging on him since he's not a defenseman, how exactly?
That is exactly why i HATE putting forwards back on the point in place of D-men on the PP. When they actually do have to play defensively, there is a huge dropoff.
Anyways, A lot went wrong at the end there including Z dogging it when that puck was moving up along the boards. He definitely could have gotten to that first.
I'm not saying that this wasn't his best game, but I also don't think it was his worst. The entire team stopped playing after the first period. They were trying to skate through molasses. But he would probably be one of the last guys I'd call out.
Lashoff messed up on the OT goal he was in no mans land.
