I found this stat astounding, Bo Ryan is 11-1 against John Beilein.

That is crazy.
I think Izzo had a stretch where he was being stubborn and kept trying to speed the game up against Wisconsin.
Now he realizes that he has to play the game at Wisconsins pace to some degree.
Threelines teams don't play defense or rebound much which is why they suck against Wisconsin and in the NCAA tournament where the game gets slowed down usually.
Besides being an undead lord, Bo is also a damn fine coach. Thankfully, he is so charming that it holds his recruiting back a bit because otherwise he'd be contending every year.
These also surprised me:
UM is 2-6 vs the top 4 teams in B1G with both wins coming by 1 at home.
Bo Ryan is 9-0 vs. Tom Crean in the B1G
Bo Ryan is 13-3 vs. Tom Crean overall

And Wisconsin has beat Indiana 11 games in a row - many of those games in the Crean era. There are two ways to beat Wisconsin - get in the gutter with them and hope you come out less dirty or apply mad pressure. Most Big 10 teams aren't built for "mad pressure." I think Purdue pulled it off a few times in the Moore-Hummel-Johnson era and that was when Wisconsin was much better, too. Indiana has the personnel to do it but the better gamble for them with their great shooters is to just beat UW at their pace.
Shouldn't be surprising since Crean is not top tier coach. He goes as far as his talent takes him and sometimes he gets out of the way.
Doesn't everyone own Beeline?
Pretty much. He just broke .500 in B1G games won during his tenure. Tom Crean will need a few more seasons like this one to accomplish that milestone.
Izzo, Matta, and Ryan are all around 70%.
MSU is a team that can play that style of basketball very effectively. Indiana and Michigan not so much. I will say though, I do respect beeline.
UM isn't tough enough to win on the road, not a huge surprise.
As much as we hate him, Bo is an effective coach. That hideous style that Wisconsin plays is great for taking teams out of their element and making them uncomfortable.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
I would rather have Crean win today than gouge my eyes out tomorrow watching another Wisconsin basketball game.
Rods - please delete this obsession thread.
Just out of curiosity (I'm clearly not interested enough to look it up myself), what's B__'s record against the rest of the B10? I have to think the stats v. Izzo & Matta are similar, with B___ padding his B10 record against NU, Illinois, and Penn State (until this year ).
Thank you, Denicos.
Wow, it would sure seem like it.
Nostradamus Barnes, FTW.
w/ 6 in a row now, where does Izzo stand vs. Bo?
Yes and yes.
I remember last year when UM won a share of the Big Ten Title that their fans claimed that not playing at Wisconsin was not a factor in their backing into the share.
