Other than the possibility of Arizona in LA, this would be the dream bracket for MSU.
Get the latest NCAA college basketball bracketology breakdown from ESPN's Joe Lunardi
I would LOVE that opening game. Mostly because my wife is from Montana and her family are big Griz fans.
The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.
Arizona is 7-8 hours away from LA. They won't have a home court advantage of any kind.
They'd have to get by Pitt first, but I think we match up well inside against Arizona from what I've seen. I honestly think we face Ohio State in the Elite Eight in this case which would be a hell of a game. Team that would be most difficult in the FF would be Louisville I think.
They would love to put us with Iowa State.
I would take that draw in a heartbeat
Iowa State would actually be a tough matchup. I would prefer a different team if given the option.
serious question as I am not familiar with bracketology as some of you are---are the first round sites assigned to a specific region? For example, is the Auburn Hills site assigned to WEST and EAST region or is it based on the team/seeding.
2nd question--are we all but guaranteed to play in Auburn Hills first round or do we have to be a specific seed?
I've learned from the board that if MSU is a top three seed they will play in Auburn Hills.
Something about the pod system having the top four seeds play close to home if possible.
I don't want to be anywhere near VCU come tourney time.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
According to nydouche1, we don't match up with anyone like an AZ or Pitt.
Watching KU/ISU last night, I kept getting the feeling that we are going to see Korie next month.

Flip O$U and UNLV and flip Illinois with either Oregon or Creighton and I'd say that is damn near perfect. Those flips increase the chance for B1G teams to stay on the board longer IMO. 4 B1G in Final Four!
Actually U of A travels well in general and especially to L.A. They'd pack them in there, especially after a down year. Not that i think it matters. They're not a tested team, and they make horrible half-court decisions. They'd be toast.
When Arizona made a run to the elite 8 a couple years ago they faced Duke in Anaheim and it was a clear homecourt advantage for Arizona.
Couldn't have been that much of an advantage. They lost to UCONN.
Wow that is the best bracket we could hope for. The West is a cake walk and Indiana draws the death bracket in the Midwest. Actually sounds about right how it happens every year.
What did UConn do that year?
Was that when uconn lost to us in Detroit?
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Beat a team with "a clear homecourt advantage". So, it wasn't that much of an advantage...right?
