I'm hearing Jim Bollman is being hired as new OC. He was Osu OC from 2001 to 2011

The guy who just took the job as Purdue's OL coach?
As an OSU fan, I have to say have fun running it up the middle for 1 yard, then again for 2 yards, then either throwing an incompletion on 3rd and 7 or completing a 4 yards pass...
We are used to it...
For the love of Trevor...™
I don't know much about this guy, but the buzz on Twitter isn't what I'd call positive.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Nothing new Rouchar did the same thing.
Will he at least help Urban Liar out in increasing the B1G recruiting woes???
Can he recruit?
Never a good sign when the initial reaction is laughter.
I like it. He's experienced and was part of a national championship as well as a bunch of BCS bowls. Plus he knows the state of Ohio very well and that's always important for us.
Did he call plays at OSU? I thought Tressel called the plays.
We are not the same, I am a Spartan
He was also the OL coach here under Saban from 95-97. At the very least he should be able to assist with those problems. Coached TEs for the Eagles and Bears as well.
So Tedford said no?
Our new OC is Purdue's new OL coach. We can't do better than that?
Players play, tough players win.
I'm not sure if Hondo liking it is a good thing or a bad thing.
Hondo Carpenter @HondoCarpenter
Spartan fans should be THRILLED with the hire of Jim Bollman as OC. Great OL experience, solid, proven, great coach. This is a homerun.
He was an OC for ten years. Won a national championship as an OC. Won a bunch of BCS bowls as an OC.
His last year at Ohio State he called the plays. As I noted in the other thread, Ohio State was 104th in offense that year.
and 50% of the posters think he passed too much.
Tressel was the real OC for all but 1 year.
From the sounds of it, we're not willing to pay for better than that.
stop blowing sunshine, the rest of the B1G is laughing at the hire.

Jim Bollman, eh? Thats probably exactly what the #FireRoushar movement wanted all along.....
LOL Sparty no!
Matt Hinton @MattRHinton
Mark Dantonio, world's most boring sadist.
Tyler Duffy @tyduffy
Tried to think of a joke that would make MSU hiring Jim Bollman as OC funnier than it is alone. Failed.
David Wunderlich @Year2
OCs hired by B1G schools over the past 2 years include Greg Davis, John Shoop, and now Jim Bollman. That's not going to close gap w/the SEC.
A Jim Bollman google image search does not inspire confidence.
