When the players come out, and they play for a team in Nashville, or Georgia, or some of these other bible belt states, there will be stoopid people protesting at training camps, games, etc. The religious folk down here are nuts. Dont mean to offend anyone with that statement, but it is a true story.
If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day.
I think there's still a lot of ignorance in places like locker rooms. These guys like men, but don't be so arrogant to think they are checking you out. Let's ask the players who know these guys, does your opinion change now? And why would it considering you've shared that locker room with them all along? They didn't make advances towards you now did they?
Homophobia is so stupid.
Maybe that "church," Westboro, will protest an NFL camp, and the whole team will march over and beat their asses.
They'll have fun trying to protest on private land.
Got into a car accident at 3:30AM on belle isle, the rest is speculation because I guess detroiters enjoy swapping bodily fluids after dark on tIsle.
Who other than Tebow?

...so why is everyone jokingly saying UM players? Because it would be hilarious and somehow embarrassing to the school if they were gay? Nice work.
I completely understand where you're going. My question is will we ever be able to make gay jokes publicly? I only say that because I have been with a friend who happens to be gay where privately jokes were made as we also make jokes about our overweight friends in our group our bald friends and our married friends not having sex. All these are private among very close friends and we all know we support each other. I guess I wonder if it will ever be publicly accepted that's all. I understand your point.
Magic handled that ridiculously well.
I got down voted for suggesting Eric Winston?
I am a male, and I like women. If I was in a women's locker room, I'd be checking every single one of them out......even the ugly ones.
You look mighty cute in that Under Armor...
I think you hit on something here.
Women's employment rights and gay rights are linked. People who think there should be no limits on the kinds of jobs women can have also tend to think there should be no limits on the jobs gay men can appropriately have.
In both cases you lose, unless there's a nuanced argument I'm missing.
painting with a broad brush aren't we? and i thought the libs were the tolerant ones. tolerance only when it fits. perfect.
Short story: we'll make those jokes in public when there aren't a large chunk of people who seriously think there's something wrong with being gay.
That won't happen in my life
I agree. I'd feel kind of hesitant (more so than already) to drop the ol compression shorts if I consciously knew there was a gay teammate next to me in the locker room. And that has nothing to do with being homophobic.

I hope all four gay guys are centers.
But there's no reason to think that way. I can understand why you'd be apprehensive but what do you think would actually happen in that scenario? Nothing. These guys are pros and are there to do a job.
Either that or tight ends for sure.
Yep. NFL fans are certifiably insane.
"People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." - Mark Dantonio.
all those guys in the locker room care about is that those guys are there to help them win
So Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Carolina, Tennessee, and possibly St Louis and Cincinnati? Sounds about right.
