You're right...being a tattle tale is the way to go...the bitch way to go. Right up your alley.
Listen, man. You obviously must not be over Indianapolis or something. You don't like Bielema. That's cool. Neither do I... but I will say that Hollis is probably on top of what they are doing down in Columbus along with 11 other Big Ten commissioners because they wouldn't be doing their jobs unless they were. The ADs all talk to one another. You don't think this issue has come up in conversations? Many of them went to the UK together within the last six months. They are close in business dealings for the most part. They don't want this league's image sullied by Ohio State more than it already has been.
I actually approve of that even though not a big Bielema fan, and would like to hear more about what Meyer does, in addition of course to targeting committed players within the conference.
Dr Opti, providing wisdom;one message at a time.
Haha U Mad. Are you going to rip other people on the first page who said exactly what I said about this situation?
Good. Not that i actually believe Meyer is doing anything illegal, but it'd be interesting to see what the Wisky's are complaining about exactly. Schools swipe players all the time so i feel like it's more than that.
He is trying to make it level for everyone. Nothing wrong with that.
The unwritten rule is not to recruit committed players WITHIN the conference since the Big Ten has taken so much heat over about them being inferior to the SEC. It was a smart unwritten rule. Meyer this year and to a lesser extent Hoke last year have changed that. However they are new guys and need to be brought up to speed.
I'm not sure what you would suggest be done then, instead of the whole "using the proper channels" thing. Fly to columbus and sucker punch him? Get in a yelling match?
The issue coming up in conversations between ADs is one thing, running to the League commish is another. Reach out to the OSU AD about the issue, or hell, even Meyer. It's better than sneaking around and running to the principals office.
Alvarez to Delany:
"He complained, Jim! He complained when he shouldn't have!"
You mean like the wisconsin fan?
Reach out to Gene Smith about ethical concerns or potential violations????????

Yet you're ok with them running to the commish about the same issues????????
Delaney, ethical concerns???? really?

You're right. Delany more than likely isn't going to do anything about it either.
Alvarez should go to the NCAA.
you really are a clueless bastard.
Not only does that accomplish diddly squat, but it labels you as a rat.
You're right. He should go to Congress.
Sparty sparty sparty.. Come on Meyers has not broken any rules but the days of handshakes and buddy buddy is gone. Urban is here to make the B1G more competitive. If your school can't keep a recruit committed then you need to get better, build better facilities and such. This 'I'm going to tell the commissioner that your a jerk and you "steal" players" line is pathetic. Do you think Alabama asks Vnaderbuilt if its OK if they recruit a Vandy commitment? hell no so stop the whimpering, pull on your big boy pants.
The B1G needs to get better all across the board, and that starts with everyone being competitive in recruiting.
Fight on, State!
You really think Meyer gives a fuck what the rest of the B1G care about him? It's quite obvious he doesn't. He knows where his paycheck comes from and he's all about stepping over anyone that gets in his way. If Meyer came to MSU and did this we'd be ready to erect a statue for him.
You keep talking about this "unwritten rule" or gentlemens agreement but I don't buy it. I do believe that Coach D and Tressel had an understanding but to suggest it was conference wide is not fair. How does Big Ten teams competing for recruits hurt the league? Poaching committed recruits has gone on forever. Oh, I'm assuming Taco is banned and that's why you are posting.
Bingo. Meyer is an scum bag, but he hasn't broken any rules. So what's the point of running to the BIG commish like a little bitch? It doesn't accomplish anything other than labeling you as a tattle tale.
You know, the same organization that just put Ohio State on probation and stripped them from a bowl and a conference title chance... You strike me as one of those people who sat there clamoring for the death penalty and thought a one-year bowl ban "wasn't enough" and that the NCAA "acted like a bitch".
You don't think the NCAA is going to listen to a possible violation from a fellow conference school after they just hit Ohio State with that kind of punishment? You're in a box man. You sit there and call people bitches for wanting to police their own and then sit there after an egregious violation and say the NCAA is out of control.
An idiot and a hypocrite.
Didnt the NCAA let OSU have two coaching staffs? Why does Alvarez think Delany is going to do shit to Urb when the NCAA let Urb and Luke both coach?
What "possible violation" are you referring to???
Jesus christ you're a fucking moran.
