Compares him to Steven Jackson Thought you all might like to read it as well.
Questions abound with this running back class, but Bucky Brooks says one thing is becoming increasingly clear to scouts: Michigan StateVeon Bell is the best back in the 2013 NFL Draft -- by far.
I think LeVeon, Lacy and Bernard are all good prospects with a significant drop off after that.
LeVeon looks like the top "every down" back now. Unless Lacy has a ridiculous pro day I think it will stay that way.
But does he like girls?
Looks like a 2nd rounder, but if some team has a need, maybe 1st, that would be awesome.
950 yards after contact is utterly ridiculous. If they held records for that, it would have to be up there.
Brooks also had some good things to say about Bell on twitter and then tweeted his article out to the 5 fanbases of the "best fit" teams he listed.
what did his 40 time end up?
Not a fan, but Broncos would be best fit of those teams listed to me.
4.60 official, 4.52 unofficial.
Denver or Atlanta would be scary with Bell. Combine him with Peyton's ability to stretch the field, or the deep threat presented by Julio Jones and Roddy White, and it's gonna be really tough to defend the deep pass without handing Bell 5.0 YPC.
Anyone know where Kiper/McShay have him post combine?
Dancer vs. Pounder in that article...did this guy even watch ANY film what-so-ever? Bell can make people miss and can run right through people and LOVES to do both. What a douche.
Bell would be an absolute stud with Denver. That zone blocking scheme with Payton at the helm. Hello Pro Bowl.
I thought the zone blocking scheme was a Mike Shanahan thing.......
.........Mike Shanahan is now in Washington.
I also thought it was Peyton, not Payton.

Couldn't be happier for the kid.
Falcons just cut Michael Turner. Maybe they will go after Bell...
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Haters gonna hate!
No way Broncos touch Bell.. They have Moreno, McGahee, and a Ronnie Hillman (rookie last year). Could see the Colts, Packers, or Falcons, but I think the Falcons have the biggest need with releasing Turner and only have Jacquizz who is a smaller scat back. Would make Atlanta even more scary on offense.
I could see the Broncos grabbing him if they don't like Moreno or Hillman as a full time back. McGahee is going to be 32 next season. Moreno put up OK numbers when he got a shot last season, but he was thoroughly unimpressive doing it. Hillman is a smaller guy, and didn't really get any play until the playoff game last season. Jury is still out on him. John Fox is notorious for not playing rookies, so maybe that had something to do with it.
I think Pittsburgh should really be on this list. Their GM already said he was unhappy with the RB production and they would be looking to add a starter. They are also reportedly going to a zone blocking system.
I almost wouldn't wish going to Oakland on a scUM player, so I would be crushed if Le'Veon went there.
I'd love to continue rooting for Bell in the black and gold, but it won't happen. If anything, Pittsburgh already has too many Bell-like RBs with Redman, Dwyer, and Mendenhall.
with the 36th pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select....Le'Veon Bell...Running Back...Michigan State University.
I like that. Got a certain ring to it.
And, they apparently need another RB.
But, seriously, I don't want that to happen. I'm holding out hope that they draft DeAnthony Thomas next year.
(EDIT) How would they distinguish Le'Veon and Joique Bell? Lions don't need another big bruising back!
( I just wanted a late-night excuse to use )

I love when Spartans end up on the Lions, makes me enjoy watching the Lions 5000x more. You're right though, 1 of LeShore/Joique has the ability to be a competent bruiser. The Lions should have OL, OL and OL as their top priorities on offense in the draft, then maybe look at a Reggie Bush in free agency or a Ellington/Barner/McCalebb later in the draft.
Johnny Adams to the Lions sounds a lot better.
