whats your preference in terms of apparel and camping gear?
I like cabela's shirts and their selection but they are on the higher end of the price spectrum.
But, I also have visited many Bass Pros.
Gander Mountain seems to suck in all regards.
Dude. Please label NSFW next time you post some naked chicks with painted bodies. Some of us work around here.
They are in camo?????
I like gander mountain guide fishing rods. They have served me well.
I also have had good luck with bps redhead stuff- I have a pair of neoprene waders and an insulated raincoat that has pretty much turned into all season coat for me

I was in South Carolina on business last week, and a Cabela's was opening that day. It was the lead story on the news, with live broadcasts from the site every 15-20 minutes on the morning news. I heard that they had 3,000 or 5,000 people in line when they opened....at 11am on a Thursday. I know it's South Carolina, but WTF? What needs to be seen there on the first day that would cause you to wait in line behind a few thousand other people?
I don't know if that makes it better than Bass Pro Shops, just thought I'd add a cool story, bro.
I like Cabelas. Their selection of dog training (hunting) supplies is unrivaled. My GSP loves the place:
Tough love is in effect here|We won't accept you as you are|Instead, we will show you a vision of what you could be and help you achieve it
I always have felt they were in this pecking order for outdoor retail chain stores:
2) bass pro
3) gander mtn
I just adopted a gsp that is 7 months old. Any advice for training. Currently she has problems coming to me. Thanks
They usually have a lot of deals and Door prizes on opening day. Also special guest appearances etc. Plus people looking for ammo before it all disappears.
Grandville opening was similar.

This is perfect but I'd put Scheels at #2.5.

I've always preferred Cabelas as a brick and morter store but BassPro for their equipment. I did some tournament bass fishing in my youth and really haven't been on the water much in the last couple years, s my opinion might be somewhat dated.
I prefer Cabelas. They generally have great products and stand behind them. Lifetime warranties on waders for instance.
