Ok, name historically the four worst run franchises in the league. 3 "cat" teams Lions, Bengals, Jags, would join the Cards on that list.

No arguments, but bengals have gone to 2 Super Bowls and made playoffs back to back. Panthers and Jags haven't been around long but both have been to more conf champ games of late than the lions last appearance in 1991. Panthers already have one SB appearance. Jags I think have 2 afc champ games.
All 4 have been underwhelming, but none as putrid as the Lions

Looks like a logo for some sort of gay airline. NTTAWWT.
I'd put the Browns in worst franchise discussion.
But it's a black panther. So I assume it actually is a leopard or jaguar.

Yup. The Cards have at least been to a SuperBowl
The Browns would like to have a word with you.
Am I the only one who thinks that the new Jags logo looks like a female jaguar?
I agree with this, it absolutely does. I also have little doubt that the Jags, Browns, and Texans will all reach the Super Bowl before the Lions.

Huge improvement. When a new logo makes you realize that the old one looks like it was drawn by a 3rd grader, it's should be a welcome improvement.
I'm surprised they kept the teal so prominent. Teal was a fad color in the '90s and teams usually abandon it when they do an update.
So this will lead to a packed stadium yes?
A Dolphin without a football helmet is like a penguin without a hockey stick.

Dolphin Air is a Dubai based low cost airline. It offers passengers not only one of the lowest possible airfares in the market but safe, reliable and convenient point-to-point air travel as well.

Well they only joined the NFL in the '90's, so that fad '90's teal colors is also their tradition and history, it's not like they have another great colors they could go back to like the Eagles which could go to their old green which was way better than their teal now.
Couldn't disagree more. The logo was already terrible to start with. Now it's the most intricate logo in the NFL and has 5 colors. That's a bad logo.
I know they're in a tight spot because of the Jaguar auto logo, but even the SB Nation Jaguars logo is light years better.

Such a low cost airline that they used an orca for a dolphin?
Think its a fluke?

The SB Nation logo looks like a BBall logo. And I think the new one will look fine on a helmet, and it's really not much more detailed than the other, the details are just more well done. The difference between the previous logo and this one as far as detail on the helmet and recognition is negligible, it was never close to being a logo that was going to be simple and recognizable like the basic one and two toned classic NFL logos.
For the SB Nation logo I'm referring to just the two-tone Jaguar itself, not the whole crest.
I agree that it might look alright on a helmet, but it's also going to be embroidered and screened on hats, tshirts, polo shirts, fatheads, and everything else under the sun. For the amount of money teams pay for rebranding it's surprising they can't come up with something that's not only better, but simpler.
I was wondering about if it would be too detailed for embroidery, but it looks all right.
A few years ago, there was a big controversy here in Kentucky about the UK Cat Logo. See if you can notice anything unusual about the shape of the tongue in this depiction.
Yep! That's what caused such an uproar.

I guess I just like simpler logos. For me it's not about whether it can be executed well, it's about unnecessary detail. A silhouette would be better. A stylized "J" would be better. Anything that makes it more like a Packers/Jets/Bears/Saints/Cowboys logo (or the Spartan helmet) and less like a random find from a Google image search would be better.
I prefer simplicity and I'm not that fond of either Jaguars logo, but they are a newer team without much cache. They can try out a detailed logo because they aren't the Packers, Bears, etc. And in many ways they have to because the silhouette cat logo has already been done perfectly by Jaguar and Puma.

Well the thing is, they already had a pretty detailed logo, and they're the least popular team in the NFL. Their solution was to make things even more complicated.
But yes, Puma and Jaguar do cut down on their options significantly.
