I'm shocked. Totally shocked. I thought for sure he would be suspended.......for the first 3 downs of the game.
Posting member of tRCMB since 1997.
It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
So, part of the "discipline" is naming him the starter?
And...you somehow rationalize that ridiculousness by claiming it's Hoke's fu to the media?
Please tell me you're trying to sound like an idiot on purpose.
I though I remembered Drew Sharp having some pretty strong opinions on the subject as well. I guess when it happens to Michigan it's just not worth mentioning.
For sure. And, he was just starting to turn the program around.
They should have kept him. The offense has regressed.
Those turds are insufferable right now. ALL of their concern is due to not wanting to be on "Dantonio and MSU/Urban level." The most important part of all of this to them literally is that they feel morally superior about their program. I truly hope both Toussaint and Clark start just so I can go read the reactions to the nutshot that their smugness takes.

Thanks for the exact timeline.
I'm fairly certain Hoke (Brandon) is hanging on the "no decision" thing to avoid potential bad press. They reinstate him before the game and the press' focus shifts beyond it. He announces today and the press had a week to rip on him.
Teams don't generally release "full season" depth charts, it's a futile practice. The fact that he's on the DC is more telling than anything Hoke has said.
I hoped that he was just trolling in the beginning, but alas, tenaciousdouche evidently does have severe mental deficits. Arguing with him is futile.
More of their blather is about Linthecum and Bullough not being disciplined by and Bullough now being a captain.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
Even though Linthecum and Bullough missed more offseason/fall camp time than Toussaint did even though the MSU guys only got a running from the cops misdemeanor.
if you read my other posts i said naming him a starter was a joke aka ridiculous and 'unacceptable.' if you'd have even read my post... what does the last line mean to you?
thanks. word on the street is that the depth chart release is the season list and not the Bama game (and Fitz will not be playing) but Hoke should be knocked even for awarding that "honor."

you're the one suffering from issues. i've made 4-5 posts saying it was bs for Hoke to do it. yet your reading abilities are so awful that you got me defending Hoke out of that.
Douche, you've said your piece. Shit, you have more posts than anyone in this thread.
Now get the fuck outta here.
And you actually believed him?
Just because he hasn't announced it publicly it doesn't mean he hasn't decided. If he really hasn't decided yet, you should be concerned. While Toussaint's court date may be tomorrow, if he told Hoke the truth about the incident, the time in court tomorrow shouldn't provide any new information to Hoke. Hoke has all the information he needs right now to make the decision.
Here's how I expect it to play out: He starts (or comes in after 2-3 plays) against Alabama. When asked about it after the game, Hoke will respond with something along the lines of "He was punished internally and was completing the punishment throughout the week. If he didn't do everything that was asked of him, he wouldn't have played."
We are not the same, I am a Spartan
I'm pretty sure EVERY player arrested since Dantonio has been coach has been suspended for at least 1 game. Am I wrong?
Don't think -- it can only hurt the ballclub
Borges was quoted last week as saying Hoke told him what the kid's status would be. The decision has been made. Pizza Boy is playing the media.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Linthicum and Bullough were not for the incident in Colo. But, that was only an arrest for running from the cops. They still missed more of fall camp than Toussaint did.
Probably more accurate, but you missed the "thisismichiganfergodsakes"
This was so obvious. Hoke just needs to take a page out of the old UM playbook:
1) We keep these matters in-house
2) He was punished behind the scenes
3) He has fulfilled all his requirements to be reinstated. When asked what requirements he had to fulfill, go back to #1 - rinse and repeat.
Really it beautiful - the Detroit media and UM slappies will buy off on it and MSU fans will look like whiniers when we complain. Even when the media brings it up - they will reference similar situations at MSU and OSU to help mask the double standard. In the next 24 hours, Hoke will only want to talk about Alabama and think about the future, blah blah blah. Everyone will buy into it and it will be forgotten in a week. It's really a win for Hoke and UM and nobody should be surprised that this is the result.
If Hoke hasn't made up his mind, why didn't he use an "OR" on the depth chart?

when they leave for dallas? lets see who is on the plane...
Toussaint has paid the price.
He couldn't eat dinner at the training table since fall practice began.
Coach Hoke ate it while Toussaint was made to watch.
Bullough: The judge handed Bullough, a linebacker, a nine-month deferred sentence for the alcohol-possession charge, meaning that if he stays out of trouble through Jan. 17, 2012, the conviction will be expunged from his record. He also must attend three alcohol-awareness classes by Oct. 18, as well as attend a Mothers Against Drunk Driving impact panel, the judge said.
Linthecum: Linthicum has settled his legal troubles with his charges of third-degree assault and eluding an officer lowered to a charge of harassment. For this charge he will receive a year of probation, as well as having to complete 40 hours of community service in Colorado, finishing a alcohol awareness class, finishing anger management, and pay court costs.
For some reason, Toussaint's DUI arrest reminded me of Gary Moeller's embarrassing drunken behavior. Truly the leaders and the best.
