My hatred for anything associated with Penn State grows.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
QFT...I hesitated to post it because people are sick of the topic but damnit all they are just the biggest collection of numbskulls.(with the notable exception being 'SpartaninPA' on this board who has given awesome updates all season long on Terry and Williams)
Well... Even though penn state has nothing to do with it you have to figure a legal test of the NCAA sanctions for non eligibility related issues was coming down the pike.
It will be a closely watched suit because the NCAA has taken Goodell like powers that could result in sanctions for non football related activity... Like Tennessee covering up a drunk driving incident with Kiffin... What if that was worthy of a bowl ban now?
I'm just so sick of that fan base playing the victim card. Just shut up, take your punishment, and be thankful that your football program wasn't nuked from orbit like it could have been.
How can they not see that they are continuing to substantiate the principal assertion of the Pugh report?
I hope PA wins the lawsuit but the NCAA is given leeway to do a full investigation that results in the death penalty.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
The AG is filing after considering the matter for months. It is safe to assume it was a well considered decision made by experienced, savy attorneys. They would not have filed w/o a fair chance of winning. They have vast legal resources. The NCAA and Louie Freeh will be very busy for the next few years. I think PSU has a chance to jackpot the NCAA and the case will therefore settle.
Sucks that it's Pennsylvania doing it, but NCAA opened themselves up to this when they changed policy and just went with the Freeh Report without conducting an investigation. Power grab to settle public outrage. Inevitable that legal action would come.

Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
dude....I"ve NEVER gotten wood from anything other than a woman but if that happened..........(insert 'boner' emoticon here)..............that would be the BEST
maybe so, BUT how can they not see how BAD this makes them look? Fucking douchers man....it's like Henry Hill said in Goodfellas: "sometimes in life you take a beating"....take your beating PA and go AWAY
They probably figure that they can't look any worse than they do already.
We should honestly kick that state out of the Union. They are despicable child molestors
Nothing like broad generalizations depicting an entire state of millions as child molesters based on the actions of one man.
Gee - thanks for such an astute comment.
Would that make us a bunch of Jew hating car builders?
Your a retard.
Calm down folks. Most likely this is about where the money goes. It is not trying to overturning the sanctions, There has been much angst and political grand standing about keeping the fine money in Pennsylvania. Remember follow the money.
Pennsylvania to sue NCAA over Penn State sanctions: report
By The Patriot-News
SI.com says Gov. Tom Corbett's office could make an announcement about the suit this week, but didn't clarify what the state would be suing over. It cites unnamed sources and says the governor's office refused to talk on the issue.
State Sen. Jake Corman, R-Centre County, introduced a bill last month that would require the endowment created with the fine money to be spent on stopping sexual abuse in the state. The legislation would allow the NCAA’s Child Sexual Abuse Endowment Task Force to determine how that money is spent. Now, the NCAA says 25 percent will be used in the state.
The NCAA fined Penn State $60 million, banned its football team from four years of bowl games and vacated years of team wins over its handling of the Sandusky case.
That changes everything
i HATE THEM FOR THEIR LIQUOR STORES...OR LACK THEREOF
If you think PSU has nothing to do with it, then you are a fucking idiot.
Sorry you overreacting folks. The NCAA sanctions were an over-reaching power grab and blatant money grubbing for the NCAA coffers. They should get sued over it.
Nίκη για MSU
We have liquor stores; they are run by the state. Yesterday, New Years Eve, the local store did not open until 11:00 AM, their normal Monday opening time. Also at 11:30 AM least a third of the varieties of champagne were out or nearly so.
No one is arguing that the NCAA is a group of scumbags. But in the court of public opinion, this will look awful.
I call BS. No car wood? No AM wood?
Pennsylvania has the dumbest liquor laws of any state I've been to.
