Who do you think will be a better quarterback? Who knows anything about these guys?
IT ARE D and R RUCKERS AGAIN

Connor Cook will be our 3rd down conversion QB like Oklahoma used Buddy Bell as he crashed thru the line to get a 1st down.
Not even close. Connor is tall but not nearly as big as Bell.
I have not seen Tyler yet, but I feel like next time it will be more a tough position battle, as opposed to this year when the job is just getting turned over to Maxwell.
Maxwell for 2 years, then Connor O'Connor for 3 years (some combination thereof). O'Connor redshirts this year.
Anyone that does not want Maxwell for 2 years is basically saying that he will not be good enough to stick as the starter. We want him to be good enough to beat out very good competition! Think Cousins- he needs a chance and he will get better and better.

Does Cook have any mobility?
From what I've heard he's more mobile than Maxwell, who is more mobile than Cousins.
It would've been great to watch Joe Boisture play too. Its really too bad about that kid, he could've been a great one. 6'6, with plenty of talent and room to be 220-230 lbs. Jesus, that wouldve been awesome.
O'Connor's film is pretty impressive re: mobility. he's much quicker than cousins. I'd lay he has the mobility (just mobility) of...aaron rodgers. just pulled that one out but i think it's close.
We don't need Maxwell to be GREAT. We just need him to be a good game manager and not lose the games. I think he'll do a very good job at that and will have some 'WOW' passes thrown in.
Nίκη για MSU
O'Conner's film reminded me a lot Drew Henson (Who I despise, but was physically talented as hell).
He's more of an athletic pro style and Cook is more of a Stanton, Jake the Snake, Nichol, Persa type.
You know what is really nice? Right now it does not matter. Connor Cook will likely be the backup next year with Tyler O'Connor being redshirted. Next Spring should be serious competition to be Maxwell's heir apparent. If it is conclusive, especially if O'Connor is better, one could transfer then. If it is close, both will probably stick around until Spring 2014 to compete with 2013 recruit for the starting job.
I'm falling in love with my Ravens analogy for next year. He really just has to be Joe Flacco, when Flacco isn't sucking (the playoffs) and is winning 85% of the games he plays.
I'm wildly confident Maxwell can do what he needs to do RIGHT NOW, let alone in 7 months (which is painfully long to think about).

The Boisture situation was strange, did you ever see that article about how hyped up her was despite a terrible senior year and poor performances in camp? I have no idea if the kid was good or not, I don't mean to knock him and I feel terrible he suffered serious injuries early in his career, but the article used him as an example of how flawed players can get so hyped up that people see them as the answer when there's no evidence. I wish I remember where it was published, but if you search around you can probably find it, it was an interesting read.
Anyway, all three of our current QBs look great, I'm excited to see how they develop. Everyone talks about Cook's arm, whereas O'Connor seems to be a real student of the game. As with every other position, it's a good time to be a Spartan.
Someone should rank the perceived mobility of Cook, O'Connor, Maxwell, and Cousins. TIA.

Tyler Connor O'Cook
Come on Botswana has wheels... Unless your list was in ascending order... Then apologies.
Perceived??? These are all white dudes so none of these guys are mobile.
