That too. There is no way standing in line gets you a beer that is miles better than those two.
This country was built by people who worked hard then went home and had just a few too many every night. Then went back to work.
Probably not. But I'm still happy with having six bottles of some of the rarest and best beer in the world. I plan to drink one every Christmas. After seeing some of them sold for $600 on eBay my wife told me to sell it. Nah.
Empress hit me a little harder than I expected but I powered through this morning and took care of business
The Sobrehumano Palena Ole might be the best beer I tasted in 2012. It is seriously that good.
Had a Great Lakes Nosferatu and an Abita Christmas Ale last night. Was really impressed with the Nosferatu. Had a nice hop flavor but was overall very well balanced. Couldn't taste the alcohol even though it was 8.5%. Would drink again.
Haven't had Nosferatu in a while. But it is a VERY good beer.
There's a toilet in the kitchen!
Where could I find a good beer selection for the holidays? I live in the Canton, MI area. Even if I have to drive closer to Detroit where can I find a store with a great amount of choices?
There is an awesome beer store by Ikea called Superfine. They have an awesome selection and the owners are great.
Drinking a SN Narwhal tonight. Really liking it. I might get a couple more and age them.
Yeah. Really liked it. Hoppy for a stout. Have 2 in the hopper waiting to age.
It's only the "best" if you like that particular flavor. It might be horrible to someone else.

We STILL have not seen this in Austin. I have heard really good things.
I really liked it, but--as expected--it's very filling. Not sure I'd enjoy more than a couple in an evening.
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. - Groucho Marx
Drinking Short's The Liberartor. Very underrated DIPA. Nice run up to Hopslam!
Short's Woodmaster for me tonight. Forgot how good this beer was. Picked up some La Fin du Monde for tomorrow night. Cliche I know. Don't care.
Really like the Narwhal. Currently have a couple more bottles of that, two Pumpkinators, and a Great Divide Oaked Yeti. It's gonna be a nice stouty Christmas for me.
Enjoying some zombie dust and Great Lakes Christmas ale tonight.....very good night so far
I totally agree with this...
Wine Barrel Plus on Plymouth west of Middlebelt in Livonia. I have been there a few times (I live 25 minutes away, but they also sell homebrew supplies) an they have a good beer selection including bombers and singles of all kinds of stuff.
Grabbed another GI Big John yesterday along with Pipeworks Galaxy Ninja and New Belgium imperial chocolate coffee stout (lips of faith series)

Speaking of good beer stores, I went to 8 degrees Plato in Ferndale for the first time this week. Good place. Chatted with the owners a bit and they seem like good people. I really like that they will sell any beer they have as a single. Even if not in their single section - owner said any beer you want for a build your own six you can just pull from a six or four pack.
Can anyone recommend a couple Chocolate Stouts?
