Sack up and wear your dad jeans as a badge of honor.
Don't post poop!
It's time to start dressing like an adult, OP
These are the best pair of jeans I have ever owned.
Go to Nordstrom or Macys and ask a female under the age of 28 for help and try on a shitload of them. Get her opinion, see what fits well and you're good to go.
Lucky brand are nice but don't fit me great. I go with AG jeans. Oh, and Bugle Boy.

That's the problem...most people aren't thin enough. The rest look like idiots with their shirts tucked into jeans.
Rocawear, Sean John, Ecko Unltd; not a pair of Dad Jeans in the collection.
Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance
Speaking as a woman - guys, anything with pleats or that says "relaxed fit" should be burned immediately. I don't care if you're 95 years old. A straight cut or boot cut is the only acceptable answer.
Yeah but the article says dark jeans only. Banana Republic has stone-washed type jeans.
Probably want some Tims to go with those jeans too.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Stonewashed is also the devil. Dark washes are the way to go
And don't forget to tie an onion on your belt!

There is so much hilarious in this thread.
Listen to Plate of Shrimp. Do not listen to Harry Callahan. Buy Levis. I like 513s and 527s.
The best thing to do is not get fat. They can can wear straight fit or slim straight fit. I normally go Levi (514s?), but recently they've changed the cut a little bit. They wear a little lower on the waist which you may not like. I have some Gap straight fit that I like and JCrew vintage slim is good. Don't even attempt JCrew 484 slim unless you weigh 115lbs.
Lucky brand jeans are kid jeans........douchy kid jeans. Do you match them up with your Ed Hardy, Ecko, or Affliction tshirts?
Nothing screams "adult" like walking into The Buckle to buy Lucky Brand Jeans, amiright?
They definitely have douchey styles. I tend to go dark wash with boot cut or straight cut jeans. I've also had multiple girlfriends and hook ups, but what do I know... go with LEVI'S!!! A guy under the age of 40 wearing Levi's is no doubt a virgin with harry palms.
I typically wear Banana Republic, J. Crew, or Polo. I'm also a big fan of Patagonia and North Face. They actually have some nice clothing styles to go along with their coats/fleeces. But yeah, I mostly just wear Banana or Lucky jeans.
Disagree with article's "dark rinse" preference. No matter the brand, they always look fresh off the pile at Walmart. Wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.
Double L classic fit are not high-waist...they're perfect.
But, never mind my opinion. Check out the 1744 reviews with almost a full 5 star rating.

Cosign with Levis.
Once you hit your early 30s, you probably want to go for 501s. No one wants to see your ass hanging out of your jeans at that age, and 501s sit more at your natural waist rather than down on your hips. I buy the 501s and then have my tailor take in the legs to give them a slim fit (otherwise, it's pretty difficult to find slim fit jeans that aren't also low-waisted).
Nothing like watching a bunch of mid-Michigan folk argue over style. Do you all find your inspiration from the celebs in Grand Rapids? For fuck sake...
Yes, but those 1744 ratings are from people who decided to buy "classic fit" jeans at LL Bean. Not saying those jeans aren't going to work for some people, but it's really matter of the look you're going for.
I live in Chicago.
This Especially Nordstroms But be prepared to pay! But must admit they look great
like i give a rat's ass if some youngsters think my jeans aren't cool or my tucked in polo looks dorky.
for the record, i'm done with levi's, last time i got 2 pairs, both fell apart within a couple months. never again.
Then you sure as shit should know better. Come on, man-
