Unfortunately we can’t go into detail, but as of today the Dave and Chuck “the Freak” show is no longer a part of the 89X line up.
We greatly enjoyed our time at 89X for over a decade, made some great friends, and are so thankful we got to be a part of your lives every morning.
We have the best listeners in the world, and you guys entertained us as much as we entertained you.

Meh. They weren't as great as their egos thought they were.
So now the whole station is officially worthless! Oh how the mighty have fallen. This station is a hollow shell of what it once was back in the late 80's & early 90's
Why do you hate freedom?
I'm guessing there is more to this story, and the OP's thread title is likely inaccurate.
If they quit, they should be able to "go into detail". If they were canned for any specific reason, they were probably told to keep quiet on the details from either their own attorney or the station's attorneys so the scenario would not get worse.
This sucks. They were the only morning show that I ever enjoyed listening too. I am not a morning person but they always had me laughing really hard on my way to work.
This is the worst news ever.
Or they could just be going to a new station.
That show sucked major ass anyways, and all those signs that said penis were annoying.
"As far as the downvotes. It's a gnat biting an lion"

Unemployed support command ripcord penis.
Their program was redundant. Not surprised.
What most people hate to admit is that conservatives have pioneered and mastered the art of talk radio.
All else is futile.
actually small chance of this i'd guess. their show only works because they broadcast in Canada and don't have to worry about the fcc.
Damn I loved listening to them in the morning and it was the only good thing about 89x what a damn shame
To die in ann arbor is redundant
How about this...from the 89x Twitter page:
@rmm41486- they wanted to leave man. We didn't fire them.
@jstnvnpml- Quit! We didn't fire them. THEY wanted to leave.
Yes it's true that Dave and Chuck have quit. They made the decision to leave 89X, but we roll on! Thanks for listening.
The Dave and Chuck the Freak show, broadcast on CMIX-FM (88.7), will no longer be part of the station's lineup, according to a Friday posting on the show's Facebook page and the Windsor Star. Reruns of the show have been airing for more than a week.
According to the Star, the group will move en masse to another broadcaster, which was not identified.
You should get to know Roy Williams. I think you two would get along.
Hopefully it will be a radio station that we can listen to.
Everything else sucks in the morning. Good thing I still have unlimited data on my plan. Will be eating up a lot of data using Pandora and Spotify now.
1. Wells, jackass
2. That's bad trolling even by Wells standards
"Those fans are in for a world of hurt...they've never gone up against a premium message board fan base like ours."-Vim
downvote because you're too stupid to post on the right board.
1. Bitch all day about Obama.
2. Lose another election.
Radio is a really tough business these days. I hope they find something good.
Dominating Press Conferences Since 2007
Rest assured if it is on terrestrial, under the FCC, it certainly will NOT be something we can listen to.
